Lessons From The Book Of Chronicles 9

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola

Shalom! Something led to the visitation that Solomon had from God. He had learnt some things from his father, King David, which worked for him at this time in particular. Let's take a look at the things:

2 Chronicles 1: 6-7
6 And Solomon went up thither to the brasen altar before the LORD, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it.
7 In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.

Solomon did what no other king of Israel had ever done and recieved a visitation of God that transformed his life.

The tabernacle which he built was according to will of God which was revealed to his father, King David, that his son, Solomon would build it. With utmost zeal and dedication he got it built. He also had some virtues working for him:

1. He had reverence for God.
2. He had learnt to give God full devotion.
3. He went beyond the conventional way to worship God. He offered a thousand burnt offering to God.

He had these virtues and did these wonderful things not expecting God to respond. He just did it, period! But he did caught God's attention, and He came to him, and gave him a blank cheque to fill whatever he so desired.

Going the extra-mile paid off for him. I think it's a wise thing for us to always have the heart to do more than God required of us. At the same time, we must only do whatever God has instructed us to do. Once we have clear cut instructions, we're to follow through with them.

A Holy Ghost Miracle Service is scheduled to hold at St. Annes Church, Molete, Ibadan, in collaboration with the J. O. Y. Fellowship on the 29th of this month by 5pm. If you can make it, be there.

Till next posting, God bless.

A Soldier Gone To Headquaters

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! A senior friend just went home to be with the Lord, PASTOR PATRICK EZEKUDE OBAZE. He was aged 78 years old. I got to know him in 1985 after I became a part of the Faith Clinic which was founded by Rev. (Dr.) I.K.U. Ibeneme of blessed memory. Uncle 'Bobo' Obaze, as was fondly called by Dr. Ibeneme, was one of the numerous workers that the Faith Clinic had in those days in the mid-80s. All the workers came from different churches and ministries, and were of various ages and giftings. In spite of his age, He was simple and humble. He was easy to get along with, and very kind. He loved Jesus and was as excited about Him as anyone of us was who were much younger than he was. Like other workers of the ministry he was involved in deliverance ministrations. He often traveled with Dr. Ibeneme for outside ministrations. He also had a special love to minister the Holy Ghost baptism. He had great success in this area of ministry. I know it because I was a...

Re-visiting Faith #5

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! One can spend a whole lifetime studying the subject of faith and one will continue to learn so many sides that are involved therein. Let's look at our main text again: Hebrews 11: 6 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Diligence is an attribute and attitude of faith. There is a kind of seriousness that is attached to the Bible kind of faith which is why God demands diligence in the seeker. The dictionary defines the word "diligence" as "careful and conscientious" and the word "careful" as "paying close attention". The word "conscientious" is defined "been diligent with one's work" . I don't think this can be overly emphasised since it is the very basis and fabric of our relationship with the Most High God. You can just imagine why this faith business ...

All Consuming Desire #5

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour really gave us the definition of faith in Mark 11:23-24. He showed us exactly what we need to do. So everytime we take the faith stand, what we believe matters. We can't say after we've prayed the prayer of faith, "I am expecting such and such from God." To do that is to get out of faith which will abort our prayer. You must believe that you have recieved what you asked for in prayer WHEN YOU PRAY, and then it will manifest. But if you want to wait untill you see it manifest, you will never get to see it. This is where B.U.S.H. comes in. Believe you have recieved Untill Something Happens (untill it manifest). Once you believe you have recieved, stay put in that mode - regardless of how you feel or what you've not seen or felt. Just believe it's done for you already. That's what will cause the manifestation! Jesus said, "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, ...
