#TheBloodOfJesus: Revd 'Remi Tejumola

I have some thoughts about the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ that I wish to share with you again today, especially if you are a believer in Him. First, here is what Apostle Peter said about His blood (and I found it difficult to refer to the blood as 'it'):

1 Peter 1:13-21 KJV
13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF CHRIST as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

What makes the blood of Jesus Christ a lot more precious above all kinds of bloods?

1. It is the blood of the First Begotten Son (formerly the Only Begotten Son) of the Almighty God. We are supposed to reverence Him. Life is in all kinds of blood, including all birds, all reptiles, all kinds of fish, all kinds of animals and all human beings (some people still consider themselves as animals. I'm not one). All creatures with blood has life running in them. Once anything happens that causes blood to flow out of a person (or a creature) that person dies off.

2. Speaking about the blood of animals, God said in the Old Testament, "For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an ATONEMENT  for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul" (Leviticus 17:11 KJV). The Lord God approved the blood of animals to atone (to be a covering) for the souls of His covenant people (Israel) for a year. It was precious for all of them because without it God would have nothing to do with them except to wipe them out of His holy presence. The Old Covenant was established through the offering of animal blood until Jesus Christ blood is now offered as a REMISSION (total removal, erasure and eradication) of the sins of the entire mankind. It wasn't a joke, but a very serious matter. Animals blood for the souls of mankind.

Priests that God appointed under the Old Testament sprinkles the blood of animals - specific types of animals and birds, not just any kind or their own chosen, to be offered at specific places in and around the tabernacle, and not just at anytime of their own chosen, in order for it to be acceptable to God. The blood of these creatures were really precious to all Israelites. The Apostle Paul said this about the Priests of God under the Old Testament:

Hebrews 5:1-4 KJV
1 For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:
2 Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity.
3 And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins.
4 And NO MAN TAKETH THIS HONOUR UNTO HIMSELF, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.

All the Priests were picked and chosen by God to do this holy work, though they weren't perfect. But they didn't just decide on their own to be there. They were chosen under strict regulations, and were given strict instructions on how this holy work is to be carried out. Just one example: they must not offer the blood of birds and animals with defects and blemishes. But they weren't enough to wipe sin out entirely from their lives. So God wasn't satisfied at all.

Apostle Paul said again:

Hebrews 9:22-28 KJV
22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Now, I didn't know that it would take me so much words to present and explain my thoughts about the precious blood of Jesus. I found out there are a lot of things that needs to be said. So I will just come right to my points:

(1.) We need to reverence the blood of Jesus by not joking with it in anyway. Do not just shout or say, 'The blood' when there's no divine reason to do so.

(2.) Whenever you need restoration back to God and to have Him forgive you of your trespasses and sins, do not say, 'I deep myself into the blood of Jesus.' Ask our Father God for forgiveness of your sins, and He will do the cleansing from all unrighteousness with the blood of Jesus!

Have reverence for that blood, and the efficacy of the blood, the blood of the Lamb of God will really work for you.

John the Baptist said:

John 1:29,34-37 KJV
29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.
35 Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;
36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God! [37] And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.

The Apostle John records:

John 19:14-42 KJV
14 And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!
15 But they cried out, Away with him , away with him , crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.
16 Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away.
17 And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha:
18 Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.
19 And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.
20 This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.
21 Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews.
22 Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.
23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.
24 They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.
25 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.
26 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!
27 Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.
28 After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.
29 Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.
30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
31 The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
32 Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him.
33 But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs: 34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.
35 And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe.
36 For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.
37 And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.
38 And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus.
39 And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight.
40 Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.
41 Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid.
42 There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews' preparation day ; for the sepulchre was nigh at hand.

In the eighteenth verse, John said, "... they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst." There were two armed robbers that were crucified with Jesus, but the bloodiest One was the Son of God. The criminals didn't receive as much punishment as Jesus, if any at all! Jesus was the bloodied innocent One, the Son of the Living God! His crime, He was the Truth!

The blood of Jesus will work for you when you confess it with faith, not when you're shouting it with fear. You can overcome the devil with the blood of Jesus if you have reverence for it. So, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, I plead His precious blood over you now!

A Soldier Gone To Headquaters

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! A senior friend just went home to be with the Lord, PASTOR PATRICK EZEKUDE OBAZE. He was aged 78 years old. I got to know him in 1985 after I became a part of the Faith Clinic which was founded by Rev. (Dr.) I.K.U. Ibeneme of blessed memory. Uncle 'Bobo' Obaze, as was fondly called by Dr. Ibeneme, was one of the numerous workers that the Faith Clinic had in those days in the mid-80s. All the workers came from different churches and ministries, and were of various ages and giftings. In spite of his age, He was simple and humble. He was easy to get along with, and very kind. He loved Jesus and was as excited about Him as anyone of us was who were much younger than he was. Like other workers of the ministry he was involved in deliverance ministrations. He often traveled with Dr. Ibeneme for outside ministrations. He also had a special love to minister the Holy Ghost baptism. He had great success in this area of ministry. I know it because I was a...

Re-visiting Faith #5

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! One can spend a whole lifetime studying the subject of faith and one will continue to learn so many sides that are involved therein. Let's look at our main text again: Hebrews 11: 6 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Diligence is an attribute and attitude of faith. There is a kind of seriousness that is attached to the Bible kind of faith which is why God demands diligence in the seeker. The dictionary defines the word "diligence" as "careful and conscientious" and the word "careful" as "paying close attention". The word "conscientious" is defined "been diligent with one's work" . I don't think this can be overly emphasised since it is the very basis and fabric of our relationship with the Most High God. You can just imagine why this faith business ...

All Consuming Desire #5

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour really gave us the definition of faith in Mark 11:23-24. He showed us exactly what we need to do. So everytime we take the faith stand, what we believe matters. We can't say after we've prayed the prayer of faith, "I am expecting such and such from God." To do that is to get out of faith which will abort our prayer. You must believe that you have recieved what you asked for in prayer WHEN YOU PRAY, and then it will manifest. But if you want to wait untill you see it manifest, you will never get to see it. This is where B.U.S.H. comes in. Believe you have recieved Untill Something Happens (untill it manifest). Once you believe you have recieved, stay put in that mode - regardless of how you feel or what you've not seen or felt. Just believe it's done for you already. That's what will cause the manifestation! Jesus said, "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, ...
