Faith and the Will of God

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola

Shalom! Where exactly in the prayer of faith can we find the will of God? The will of God means what GOD expects, requires and demands, to be done by you. Paul said in his epistle to the Hebrew Christians, "... ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise" (Hebrews 10:36). It is after you've done the will of God that YOU will experience the fulfillment of the promise.

The will of God for you when using Mark 11: 24 is that part where Jesus said, "... when ye pray, believe that you recieve them ...". Once you miss this part, you would have wasted your time and prayer. The will of God in this verse deals with,
1. The time of your prayer WHEN YOU PRAY, and,
2. What you believe when YOU PRAY.

The other important thing about your prayer life that goes with the matter of the will of God has to do with your life. You must be a person of godly character. You must fear God and treat other people right - both Christians and non-Christians, regardless of their race, language, colour and religion.

The Bible says, "And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment" (1 John 3:22-23).

The commandments of God are also His will for our lives and that's what we have in the verses above.

Godliness is a must. It must not be compromised. A lot of people will not have their prayers answered just on this point because someone who lives a sinful life knows that his prayers will not be heard by God except his prayer of repentance out of the sincerity of his heart. A person who sinning will have his own heart condemning him and so cannot express real faith towards God.

I will talk more about this later. God bless.

A Soldier Gone To Headquaters

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! A senior friend just went home to be with the Lord, PASTOR PATRICK EZEKUDE OBAZE. He was aged 78 years old. I got to know him in 1985 after I became a part of the Faith Clinic which was founded by Rev. (Dr.) I.K.U. Ibeneme of blessed memory. Uncle 'Bobo' Obaze, as was fondly called by Dr. Ibeneme, was one of the numerous workers that the Faith Clinic had in those days in the mid-80s. All the workers came from different churches and ministries, and were of various ages and giftings. In spite of his age, He was simple and humble. He was easy to get along with, and very kind. He loved Jesus and was as excited about Him as anyone of us was who were much younger than he was. Like other workers of the ministry he was involved in deliverance ministrations. He often traveled with Dr. Ibeneme for outside ministrations. He also had a special love to minister the Holy Ghost baptism. He had great success in this area of ministry. I know it because I was a...

Whatever Happened To Personal Evangelism

Dear Friend, Good day to you. I wish to pass on to you today a message I have had in my inbox for almost 3years now as a kind of reminder to our purpose as the body of Christ. It is an article by Lee Grady, the editor of Charisma Magazine . Please read. God bless. -Revd 'Remi Tejumola   Whatever Happened to Personal Evangelism? We are not anointed by the Holy Spirit simply to have visions or feel spiritual goose bumps. It's time for us to re-embrace soul-winning.   My heart sank two weeks ago when I heard that Dr. D. James Kennedy had died at age 76 of complications from an earlier heart attack. Knowing that Jerry Falwell died in May, and considering that Billy Graham is not in good health, I wondered who could possibly replace these stalwart Christian statesmen.   The congenial Kennedy, who usually wore an austere clerical robe when he preached on his popular television broadcast, founded Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Fort Lauderdale 48 years ago. Yet ...

The Healing Presence #3

Revd 'Remi Tejumola Romans 8:11 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. There are a lot of truths embedded in this one verse, and I am not about to unveil all of them in this series of lessons. Just have this Word in mind, from the lips of Jesus, "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32). The condition in our main text (Romans 8:11) is predicated upon the dwelling presence of the Holy Spirit in the born-again Christian's life. In some measure, the power of the indwelling Spirit is pulsating thru the veins of every child of God, whether or not he realises it. God, our Father, by the Holy Spirit, is quickening or injecting life into our physical body. We need to be aware of this. In 1979, at a Kenneth Copeland's meeting, as Dr. Kenneth E. Hagin was preaching, his photographer took a...
