Shalom! We're looking at Jo'ash a king of Israel today. The Bible says about him:
2 Chronicles 24: 1-2
1 Joash was seven years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Zibiah of Beer-sheba.
2 And Joash did that which was right in the sight of the LORD all the days of Jehoiada the priest.
There was a priest called Jehoiada who was a godly influence on King Jo'ash which made him to do what God considered to be right for many years of his reign as the king of Israel. Not many of our leaders have this kind of influence on anyone. But that's a discussion for another day.
Jo'ash led well for as long as the man of God was alive. The presence and influence of the priest kept him on an even keel. But for how long? We'll find out in the next posting. God bless.
