.::Steps To Receiving The Holy Ghost Baptism Now::.

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola

A man wrote my boss, Revd (Dr.) I.K.U. Ibeneme, in 1990 from Calabar. He was a staff of Nigeria Prisons Service. He desired to be filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking with other tongues. Dr. Ibeneme passed the letter unto me to attend to. He knew since 1985 that this is my area of interest. I took up the assignment and dealt with it.

When the man followed the same steps I am about to give you, the Holy Ghost fell upon him, he fell down and began to speak in tongues for the next two hours!

Jesus is the One who baptizes with the Holy Ghost and fire up till now. I will show you few instances in the Bible where people experienced the Holy Ghost baptism with the evidence of speaking in tongues:

Acts 2:4

4 And THEY WERE ALL FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST, AND BEGAN TO SPEAK WITH OTHER TONGUES, AS THE SPIRIT GAVE THEM UTTERANCE.

Acts 10:37-46

37 That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;

38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:

40 Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;

41 Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.

42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.

43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God.

God's pattern of the Holy Ghost Baptism is for believers in Jesus Christ to be FILLED with the Holy Ghost and then begin to speak with tongues, a language they have never heard or spoken before - an unfamiliar language which may be heavenly or earthly or both. You are about ready to receive NOW.

1. You must be a child of God to be qualified for the Holy Ghost baptism. This means you must have been born-again or be born again today. If not, you cannot receive the Holy Ghost. If you have been born-again then you are ready for the experience now. You do not need to be sanctified because anybody who is already born-again is already sanctified from the day he got born-again. But if you are not yet born-again and you want to settle this matter now, make this your own prayer now from your heart:

'O God, be merciful to me, a sinner. Forgive me of my sins. Cleanse me with the blood of Jesus. I accept and confess that Jesus is the Son of God, my Saviour and Lord.'

If your prayer is sincere, you will be experiencing the peace of God all over you, especially in your heart right now. This means that all your sins have been forgiven and wiped away, and God has now accepted you as His child. Now you are ready for the Holy Ghost Baptism.

2. It is by faith that we receive the Holy Ghost Baptism. In Mark 11:24 Jesus taught us how to do it. He said, Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. This means that if you ask that Jesus fill you with the Holy Ghost now, you must BELIEVE that you receive now when you pray. Normally when people do this at this point, they experience the inflow of the power of God in an overwhelming way. Then they will begin to speak a language they've never heard or spoken before. The Holy Ghost is there with you right now and He is ready to fill you up.

3. At the time when you ask for the experience Jesus said you should believe that you receive what you asked for. Now pray this way: "Dear Jesus, I call upon You now to baptize me in the Holy Ghost. I am a child of God and I am qualified by your blood to receive the infilling. Thank you Jesus for this precious gift. I receive the infilling of the Holy Ghost now in the name of Jesus! Thank You, Lord for answered prayer. Amen. (From this point on do not speak any known language because you have just experienced the infilling now).

4. Begin now to speak out your new Holy Ghost given language. Do not copy anyone. You have an original language or tongues given to you. Now begin to flow freely in your new found liberty in the Holy Ghost in Jesus name. Amen!

A Soldier Gone To Headquaters

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! A senior friend just went home to be with the Lord, PASTOR PATRICK EZEKUDE OBAZE. He was aged 78 years old. I got to know him in 1985 after I became a part of the Faith Clinic which was founded by Rev. (Dr.) I.K.U. Ibeneme of blessed memory. Uncle 'Bobo' Obaze, as was fondly called by Dr. Ibeneme, was one of the numerous workers that the Faith Clinic had in those days in the mid-80s. All the workers came from different churches and ministries, and were of various ages and giftings. In spite of his age, He was simple and humble. He was easy to get along with, and very kind. He loved Jesus and was as excited about Him as anyone of us was who were much younger than he was. Like other workers of the ministry he was involved in deliverance ministrations. He often traveled with Dr. Ibeneme for outside ministrations. He also had a special love to minister the Holy Ghost baptism. He had great success in this area of ministry. I know it because I was a...

Re-visiting Faith #5

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! One can spend a whole lifetime studying the subject of faith and one will continue to learn so many sides that are involved therein. Let's look at our main text again: Hebrews 11: 6 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Diligence is an attribute and attitude of faith. There is a kind of seriousness that is attached to the Bible kind of faith which is why God demands diligence in the seeker. The dictionary defines the word "diligence" as "careful and conscientious" and the word "careful" as "paying close attention". The word "conscientious" is defined "been diligent with one's work" . I don't think this can be overly emphasised since it is the very basis and fabric of our relationship with the Most High God. You can just imagine why this faith business ...

All Consuming Desire #5

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour really gave us the definition of faith in Mark 11:23-24. He showed us exactly what we need to do. So everytime we take the faith stand, what we believe matters. We can't say after we've prayed the prayer of faith, "I am expecting such and such from God." To do that is to get out of faith which will abort our prayer. You must believe that you have recieved what you asked for in prayer WHEN YOU PRAY, and then it will manifest. But if you want to wait untill you see it manifest, you will never get to see it. This is where B.U.S.H. comes in. Believe you have recieved Untill Something Happens (untill it manifest). Once you believe you have recieved, stay put in that mode - regardless of how you feel or what you've not seen or felt. Just believe it's done for you already. That's what will cause the manifestation! Jesus said, "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, ...
