A committed Christian will not be conformed to this world because he would have set into motion the transformation of his life through the renewal of his mind with the Word of God that he formed the habit of reading and studying. The story of the life of many Christians is similar to that of the man who said to Jesus, "The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?" (Matthew 19:20). They have not been lacking in their commitment to Jesus, but they have a lot of needs that are not met. For them life has been a struggle. What we need to look at is the motive behind our commitment to Jesus. What is motivating your commitment? Is it that you want to please God in order for Him to bless you and meet your needs, or you simply love and appreciate Jesus for the things He's done for you through His sacrifice on the cross? When the Apostle Paul said we should offer our bodies a living sacrifice unto God, he was talking about the consecration of our bodies unto God. John 8:31-32 31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Jesus disciples were first called Christians at Antioch. The word 'disciple' means 'a follower of a leader, teacher, etc'. To be called a disciple of anyone or anything calls for: 1. Interest, 2. Dedication and Committment. Jesus said a person that'll be His disciple must be a believer who continues in His Word, who as a result will know the truth and be set free by it. A few weeks back I treated a subject about God's will, and then went further to teach about the Process of Divine Change. The teaching today is a follow-up to those. So come along with me. The Apostle Paul in Romans 12:1 said, "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service." The life of a committed Christian is strewn with periods of deeper commitments. The very first commitment comes as a revelation of Christ our saviour comes to him. So he commits himself to that One who died and rose again for his sake. Because of this revelation, he relates with people whom he perceived has had the same experience with Jesus with real agape love. He's so happy to have been saved from so great a death that he will do anything for Jesus....

The habits includes, regular reading, studying and meditating the Word of God from the Bible and reading books written by men and women of God. Listening to anointed teaching of the Word on cds and dvds, regularly spending time to worship God and enjoying fellowship with Him. In addition to these things, live a supernatural life of obeying whatever God tells you. Spend time also, building up yourself praying in tongues. God has many servants whom He gave different messages to teach the body of Christ so that we can learn from them things pertaining to the principles that the kingdom of God is guided by. Getting their books, audio tapes/cds and videos, and attending their meetings when possible, are the ways through which we learn the things God wants us to know and live by. By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! Let's take a look at several key words from our two main texts: Matthew 6:33 and Romans 12:1-2, ' righteousness ', 'transformation' and 'renewal'. In my last posting from the Amplified Bible, the Word 'righteousness' meant 'its way of doing' which means the principles by which the kingdom of God is ran. This shows there are certain ways the kingdom of God operates. Jesus taught us to seek two things, the kingdom and the way things work. These two things are supposed to be our first priority. Seeking the kingdom is as important as seeking to know how things work there. One of the requirements for becoming a US citizen is for the immigrant to get familiar with the constitution of that country. They don't want you running foul of their laws. By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! For things to work out the way they should and the way that God desires, we need to develop a couple of supernatural habits. Jesus said in Matthew 6:33, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." What 'things' was He talking about? The food, the drink, and the clothes that we need, plus other things besides (read from verse 25-34). But how do we get God to provide these 'things' for us? Jesus said we are to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. This Word righteousness is interpreted by the Amplified Bible as His way of doing things. Which when it's defined means 'The modus operandi of the kingdom' which in other words means, 'The principles upon which the kingdom of God operates. Accepting Jesus as Lord is great.
