The Importance Of Prayer [Part 3]

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola

The reason why some people do not have the things they desire to have is because they have never asked God for them. You may ask, "Really?" Yes, it's true! What about you? If you knew that God would give you anything you ask Him for everytime you pray, won't you ask Him for everything? I sure will.

Jesus had to ask His disciples to ask the Father God for things. Until He told them, they did not realise they could, and that's the idea behind these series of teaching on prayer: to let you know that you can and should ask God for all the things you want and all the things you need. Jesus said in John 16: 23-24: "And in that day ye shall ask me nothing, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it (to) you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall recieve, that your joy may be full." Can you believe this is in the Bible?

If you are observant you would have seen so many believers' faces very sad. You want to know why. They have unmet needs. They are struggling in order to have those needs met. Imagine if they prayed to God our Father and asked for those needs to be met, and they are, their hearts will be full of joy and gratitude to God, and their faces will be beaming with bright smiles. Each time you meet with them you would think they must have won a million dollars!

Every child of God have the God-given right to ask the Father God for all the things they need and to expect all those needs and wants divinely provided. Whether it is spiritual or physical or material, you can and should ask God for them and watch how He will meet those needs.

I want to suggest to you to make it a daily habit from now on to ask God for all the things you want and all the things you need or what did you think your prayer life should be about - religion? No way! My friend start praying!

In my next posting I will show you some things you need to know that will ensure your prayers are answered. Till then, KEEP PRAYING! God bless.

A Soldier Gone To Headquaters

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! A senior friend just went home to be with the Lord, PASTOR PATRICK EZEKUDE OBAZE. He was aged 78 years old. I got to know him in 1985 after I became a part of the Faith Clinic which was founded by Rev. (Dr.) I.K.U. Ibeneme of blessed memory. Uncle 'Bobo' Obaze, as was fondly called by Dr. Ibeneme, was one of the numerous workers that the Faith Clinic had in those days in the mid-80s. All the workers came from different churches and ministries, and were of various ages and giftings. In spite of his age, He was simple and humble. He was easy to get along with, and very kind. He loved Jesus and was as excited about Him as anyone of us was who were much younger than he was. Like other workers of the ministry he was involved in deliverance ministrations. He often traveled with Dr. Ibeneme for outside ministrations. He also had a special love to minister the Holy Ghost baptism. He had great success in this area of ministry. I know it because I was a...

The Holy Spirit Moves 4

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! The works of the Holy Spirit varies, no one knows it all. But it's so exciting when one finds out about them. I was part of the Faith Clinic team that travelled with Dr. I. K. U. Ibeneme to minister at a campmeeting, December 1985. It was a deliverance session with the church on the outskirt of Lagos State. Our method of ministry was to ask individuals what problem they have, and we minister accordingly. After I had prayed with several people, it came to the turn of a brother. I went thru the normal process of our ministration and he stuttered and said, 'I am a stammerer'. I was flabbergasted because at that moment I didn't know what to do. But I just said, 'In Jesus' name, I plead the blood. Be healed!' and I took off to another place. During the testimony time, the brother said in very clear words, 'You know me. . . ' and the place became wild with excitement and shouts of 'Hallelujah!' rended the air!...

Faith and the Will of God

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! Where exactly in the prayer of faith can we find the will of God? The will of God means what GOD expects, requires and demands, to be done by you. Paul said in his epistle to the Hebrew Christians, "... ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise" (Hebrews 10:36). It is after you've done the will of God that YOU will experience the fulfillment of the promise. The will of God for you when using Mark 11: 24 is that part where Jesus said, "... when ye pray, believe that you recieve them ..." . Once you miss this part, you would have wasted your time and prayer. The will of God in this verse deals with, 1. The time of your prayer WHEN YOU PRAY, and, 2. What you believe when YOU PRAY. The other important thing about your prayer life that goes with the matter of the will of God has to do with your life. You must be a person of godly character. You must fear God and treat other peo...
