Your Exposure Matters

What kind of knowledge have you been exposed to? What have you fed yourself with? What kind of knowledge have you recieved through your Pastor?

Whether you realise it or not, you are influenced and your life is directed in the direction of the kind of mindset that you have, which is largely influenced by the kind of knowledge that you have. What you know and what you're ignorant of affect your life. The kind of Pastor you listen to, and the kind of church you attend affects you.

The kind of books, tapes, videos and the kind of friends you keep affects your life. Make no mistake about it, you are what you eat.

Jesus puts it this way, "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh" (Luke 6:45). What you filled your heart with, comes out of your mouth and your life. Your outlook to life is influenced by the things you know and the things you're ignorant of. Your outlook to life determines your destiny. You are the graphic artist or architect of your own life.

The Word of God teaches us both about God's kingdom and the one of the devil. Jesus said, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly" (John 10: 10).

Take your time to meditate on these words. God bless.

A Soldier Gone To Headquaters

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! A senior friend just went home to be with the Lord, PASTOR PATRICK EZEKUDE OBAZE. He was aged 78 years old. I got to know him in 1985 after I became a part of the Faith Clinic which was founded by Rev. (Dr.) I.K.U. Ibeneme of blessed memory. Uncle 'Bobo' Obaze, as was fondly called by Dr. Ibeneme, was one of the numerous workers that the Faith Clinic had in those days in the mid-80s. All the workers came from different churches and ministries, and were of various ages and giftings. In spite of his age, He was simple and humble. He was easy to get along with, and very kind. Hope, And Then Have Faith in God!

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! There is a clear difference between hope and faith. Hope cannot achieve anything without faith, and faith has nothing to recieve without hope. Hope expects and faith recieves. One of hope's definition is 'eager yearning'. Hope dreams and will keep you smiling, but achieve nothing more than that. Hope is a picture of the things you want to have. Faith, on the other hand, does not expect anything. It is a reciever. Faith takes the unrealities of hope and brings them into the realm of reality. "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11: 1). It's just as if hope has been there waiting and achieving nothing untill faith arrived and grabbed hope and bring into reality what hope dreamt about. Now listen up, faith doesn't just come.
