The Act of Faith 4

Shalom! Jesus did something that shocked all His disciples. When they were followed by a very large crowd of people for 3days to a deserted place, He asked them to feed the crowd of over 5000 people. They were aghast! The Bible says, "He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat? He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes" (Mark 6:37-38).

Jesus showed us from this real life event that as His followers we should be masters of our situations and circumstances. Let's see another passage:

Luke 8: 23-25
23 But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.
24 And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.
25 And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.

What situation could've been more chaotic, and yet Jesus was up to the task. But He expected His disciples to have done the same, just as He is expecting you to do the same thing in the same kind of situation.

Jesus showed us by these acts that all the things He did were not exclusive to Him as the Son of God. We can also do the same things as He did them. He expects us to walk in His steps (John 14: 12). God bless.

The Bible says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1). When should one take the step of faith? (Now!) A Soldier Gone To Headquaters

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! A senior friend just went home to be with the Lord, PASTOR PATRICK EZEKUDE OBAZE. He was aged 78 years old. I got to know him in 1985 after I became a part of the Faith Clinic which was founded by Rev. (Dr.) I.K.U. Ibeneme of blessed memory. Uncle 'Bobo' Obaze, as was fondly called by Dr. Ibeneme, was one of the numerous workers that the Faith Clinic had in those days in the mid-80s. Faith's Place

Hebrews 11: 5-6 5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
