Faith and Wisdom 2

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola

Shalom! A number of years ago I attempted to act on Mark 11: 24, but did it without realising that I wasn't taking the proper process for the things I required from God. I actually did exactly what the Word of God says I should do and it didn't work! See again what Jesus said:

Mark 11: 24
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

I had what I desired and I prayed according to this Word and didn't get it because what I asked for required a process. I wanted to go to Rhema Bible Training Centre and I used my imagination to settle everything. I believed that they'll supernaturally come up with my name over there, another person will buy the flying ticket for me to use in travelling to the USA.

What was the problem or the problems? I didn't acquire any international passport, visa and other required documents, even the admission letter to the school (I didn't apply for one), but I REALLY BELIEVED! I imagined every thing would be done as I believed. Of course, it didn't work! and I was disappointed. But it wasn't God Who disappointed me. I did. God is faithful.

Wisdom dictates that there are some processes involved in the manifestation of some of the things we may want God to do for us. A person who's trusting God for a university admission must first of all obtain a WAEC School certificate with the necessary credits, go through JAMB and get at least the cut off points and go in for your course at your chosen university.

So, in a lot of things that we pray for, we really need to take appropriate steps to really get what we want. You don't stay at home while believing God for a job without applying for one and putting motion to your feet, no you don't do that! A lot of times we have our own areas of responsibilities in the things we're asking God for. God will never do your part for you. He's only responsible for His own part. Period! Get yours done.

Till next time, God bless.

A Soldier Gone To Headquaters

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! A senior friend just went home to be with the Lord, PASTOR PATRICK EZEKUDE OBAZE. He was aged 78 years old. I got to know him in 1985 after I became a part of the Faith Clinic which was founded by Rev. (Dr.) I.K.U. Ibeneme of blessed memory. Uncle 'Bobo' Obaze, as was fondly called by Dr. Ibeneme, was one of the numerous workers that the Faith Clinic had in those days in the mid-80s. All the workers came from different churches and ministries, and were of various ages and giftings. In spite of his age, He was simple and humble. He was easy to get along with, and very kind. He loved Jesus and was as excited about Him as anyone of us was who were much younger than he was. Like other workers of the ministry he was involved in deliverance ministrations. He often traveled with Dr. Ibeneme for outside ministrations. He also had a special love to minister the Holy Ghost baptism. He had great success in this area of ministry. I know it because I was a...

Re-visiting Faith #5

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! One can spend a whole lifetime studying the subject of faith and one will continue to learn so many sides that are involved therein. Let's look at our main text again: Hebrews 11: 6 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Diligence is an attribute and attitude of faith. There is a kind of seriousness that is attached to the Bible kind of faith which is why God demands diligence in the seeker. The dictionary defines the word "diligence" as "careful and conscientious" and the word "careful" as "paying close attention". The word "conscientious" is defined "been diligent with one's work" . I don't think this can be overly emphasised since it is the very basis and fabric of our relationship with the Most High God. You can just imagine why this faith business ...

All Consuming Desire #5

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour really gave us the definition of faith in Mark 11:23-24. He showed us exactly what we need to do. So everytime we take the faith stand, what we believe matters. We can't say after we've prayed the prayer of faith, "I am expecting such and such from God." To do that is to get out of faith which will abort our prayer. You must believe that you have recieved what you asked for in prayer WHEN YOU PRAY, and then it will manifest. But if you want to wait untill you see it manifest, you will never get to see it. This is where B.U.S.H. comes in. Believe you have recieved Untill Something Happens (untill it manifest). Once you believe you have recieved, stay put in that mode - regardless of how you feel or what you've not seen or felt. Just believe it's done for you already. That's what will cause the manifestation! Jesus said, "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, ...
