Faith and Wisdom 2

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola

Shalom! A number of years ago I attempted to act on Mark 11: 24, but did it without realising that I wasn't taking the proper process for the things I required from God. I actually did exactly what the Word of God says I should do and it didn't work! See again what Jesus said:

Mark 11: 24
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

I had what I desired and I prayed according to this Word and didn't get it because what I asked for required a process. I wanted to go to Rhema Bible Training Centre and I used my imagination to settle everything. I believed that they'll supernaturally come up with my name over there, another person will buy the flying ticket for me to use in travelling to the USA.

What was the problem or the problems? I didn't acquire any international passport, visa and other required documents, even the admission letter to the school (I didn't apply for one), but I REALLY BELIEVED! I imagined every thing would be done as I believed. Of course, it didn't work! and I was disappointed. But it wasn't God Who disappointed me. I did. God is faithful.

Wisdom dictates that there are some processes involved in the manifestation of some of the things we may want God to do for us. A person who's trusting God for a university admission must first of all obtain a WAEC School certificate with the necessary credits, go through JAMB and get at least the cut off points and go in for your course at your chosen university.

So, in a lot of things that we pray for, we really need to take appropriate steps to really get what we want. You don't stay at home while believing God for a job without applying for one and putting motion to your feet, no you don't do that! A lot of times we have our own areas of responsibilities in the things we're asking God for. God will never do your part for you. He's only responsible for His own part. Period! Get yours done.

Till next time, God bless.

A Soldier Gone To Headquaters

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! A senior friend just went home to be with the Lord, PASTOR PATRICK EZEKUDE OBAZE. He was aged 78 years old. I got to know him in 1985 after I became a part of the Faith Clinic which was founded by Rev. (Dr.) I.K.U. Ibeneme of blessed memory. Uncle 'Bobo' Obaze, as was fondly called by Dr. Ibeneme, was one of the numerous workers that the Faith Clinic had in those days in the mid-80s. All the workers came from different churches and ministries, and were of various ages and giftings. In spite of his age, He was simple and humble. He was easy to get along with, and very kind. He loved Jesus and was as excited about Him as anyone of us was who were much younger than he was. Like other workers of the ministry he was involved in deliverance ministrations. He often traveled with Dr. Ibeneme for outside ministrations. He also had a special love to minister the Holy Ghost baptism. He had great success in this area of ministry. I know it because I was a...

Dynamic Scriptures 10

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! What you believe when you pray and afterwards matter. What you believe determines whether or not you ever get hold of what you desired of God. Whenever you pray and ask God for anything, God wants you to believe that you have recieved whatever it is you asked for. If you asked God for a cat, believe you have recieved the cat and you will get it. Notice He didn't say you should believe that God is going to bring it, but that you have received it, and you have it now by faith. This is when results come. But if after praying, and you didn't see any difference, you then say, 'I don't think my prayer is answered' , you have just aborted your own prayer. As soon as Jesus cursed the fig tree, He turned around and went His own way. He didn't bother to wait and see whether any change has occurred, "And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it" (Mark 11:14). You c...

Whatever Happened To Personal Evangelism

Dear Friend, Good day to you. I wish to pass on to you today a message I have had in my inbox for almost 3years now as a kind of reminder to our purpose as the body of Christ. It is an article by Lee Grady, the editor of Charisma Magazine . Please read. God bless. -Revd 'Remi Tejumola   Whatever Happened to Personal Evangelism? We are not anointed by the Holy Spirit simply to have visions or feel spiritual goose bumps. It's time for us to re-embrace soul-winning.   My heart sank two weeks ago when I heard that Dr. D. James Kennedy had died at age 76 of complications from an earlier heart attack. Knowing that Jerry Falwell died in May, and considering that Billy Graham is not in good health, I wondered who could possibly replace these stalwart Christian statesmen.   The congenial Kennedy, who usually wore an austere clerical robe when he preached on his popular television broadcast, founded Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Fort Lauderdale 48 years ago. Yet ...
