Faith and Wisdom 4

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola

Shalom! I have no intention of encouraging lazy people with these series of teachings on the subject of prayer and faith simply because the Bible says that if you will not work, you should not eat.

Who are those qualified to have their needs met? Lazy people? No! Unemployed, and looking for one? Yes! Unemployed and not looking for work? No! Those whose disability prevents them from getting employment? Of course, yes. Students (in school, really studying?) Yes! Those who have jobs and are faithful at it? Yes.

Retired folks? Of course, yes. Those on admission in hospitals? Yes. Those living below God's standard of holiness and righteousness - living in sin? Definitely NO! Those who lost their work because of downsizing, victimisation at the workplace or because of illness. Yes! Homemakers and children are also qualified to have their needs met. Good housemaids and houseboys are qualified to have their needs met. As long as a person is a child of God, who is not lazy, his needs can be met. He can look up to God to take care of him.
Hardworking ministers of the Gospel in the area where God called them to qualify.

Any of these reasons as I've mentioned can be why your prayers are not heard and your needs are not met. Check which one is affecting you in this list here and make correction where necessary.

I am absolutely interested in finding a way through which you can enjoy God's goodness in this life.

More things will still be shared in the next posting, God willing. God bless.

A Soldier Gone To Headquaters

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! A senior friend just went home to be with the Lord, PASTOR PATRICK EZEKUDE OBAZE. He was aged 78 years old. I got to know him in 1985 after I became a part of the Faith Clinic which was founded by Rev. (Dr.) I.K.U. Ibeneme of blessed memory. Uncle 'Bobo' Obaze, as was fondly called by Dr. Ibeneme, was one of the numerous workers that the Faith Clinic had in those days in the mid-80s. All the workers came from different churches and ministries, and were of various ages and giftings. In spite of his age, He was simple and humble. He was easy to get along with, and very kind. He loved Jesus and was as excited about Him as anyone of us was who were much younger than he was. Like other workers of the ministry he was involved in deliverance ministrations. He often traveled with Dr. Ibeneme for outside ministrations. He also had a special love to minister the Holy Ghost baptism. He had great success in this area of ministry. I know it because I was a...

The Holy Spirit Moves 4

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! The works of the Holy Spirit varies, no one knows it all. But it's so exciting when one finds out about them. I was part of the Faith Clinic team that travelled with Dr. I. K. U. Ibeneme to minister at a campmeeting, December 1985. It was a deliverance session with the church on the outskirt of Lagos State. Our method of ministry was to ask individuals what problem they have, and we minister accordingly. After I had prayed with several people, it came to the turn of a brother. I went thru the normal process of our ministration and he stuttered and said, 'I am a stammerer'. I was flabbergasted because at that moment I didn't know what to do. But I just said, 'In Jesus' name, I plead the blood. Be healed!' and I took off to another place. During the testimony time, the brother said in very clear words, 'You know me. . . ' and the place became wild with excitement and shouts of 'Hallelujah!' rended the air!...

Faith and the Will of God

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! Where exactly in the prayer of faith can we find the will of God? The will of God means what GOD expects, requires and demands, to be done by you. Paul said in his epistle to the Hebrew Christians, "... ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise" (Hebrews 10:36). It is after you've done the will of God that YOU will experience the fulfillment of the promise. The will of God for you when using Mark 11: 24 is that part where Jesus said, "... when ye pray, believe that you recieve them ..." . Once you miss this part, you would have wasted your time and prayer. The will of God in this verse deals with, 1. The time of your prayer WHEN YOU PRAY, and, 2. What you believe when YOU PRAY. The other important thing about your prayer life that goes with the matter of the will of God has to do with your life. You must be a person of godly character. You must fear God and treat other peo...
