Faith Blockers

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola

Shalom! As great as faith is it can be short circuited by a number of things in the life of the one who wants to exercise it.

The #1 faith blocker is UNFORGIVENESS. The #2 is a twin, doubt and unbelief. The #3 is sin that brings condemnation in the heart (1 John 3: 21). Jesus told us what to do with the first one:

Mark 11: 25-26
25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

The #2 ones are dealt with once you know what the Word of God says in that area of your doubt and unbelief. You can choose to believe.

The #3 one, SIN, also have its solution: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Once your sin is forgiven, that's it. Have no more sense of condemnation. Also, you cannot afford to hold grudges against those who tresspassed against you. You need to forgive them for your own sake just as God forgave you for your sake.

Of course there's a #4, ANXIETY. Once you ask God for anything, you have no business again worrying about it. IF YOU WANT TO WORRY, DON'T PRAY, because the Bible says, "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God" (Philippians 4:6). You don't need to WORRY about what you've asked God to do something about. Anxiety and faith are not friends. Anxiety always hinder faith and it encourages doubt and unbelief.

Once these hurdles are cleared, your faith will bring you your desired results. Glory be to God!

See you soon. God bless.

A Soldier Gone To Headquaters

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! A senior friend just went home to be with the Lord, PASTOR PATRICK EZEKUDE OBAZE. He was aged 78 years old. I got to know him in 1985 after I became a part of the Faith Clinic which was founded by Rev. (Dr.) I.K.U. Ibeneme of blessed memory. Uncle 'Bobo' Obaze, as was fondly called by Dr. Ibeneme, was one of the numerous workers that the Faith Clinic had in those days in the mid-80s. All the workers came from different churches and ministries, and were of various ages and giftings. In spite of his age, He was simple and humble. He was easy to get along with, and very kind. He loved Jesus and was as excited about Him as anyone of us was who were much younger than he was. Like other workers of the ministry he was involved in deliverance ministrations. He often traveled with Dr. Ibeneme for outside ministrations. He also had a special love to minister the Holy Ghost baptism. He had great success in this area of ministry. I know it because I was a...

Re-visiting Faith #5

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! One can spend a whole lifetime studying the subject of faith and one will continue to learn so many sides that are involved therein. Let's look at our main text again: Hebrews 11: 6 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Diligence is an attribute and attitude of faith. There is a kind of seriousness that is attached to the Bible kind of faith which is why God demands diligence in the seeker. The dictionary defines the word "diligence" as "careful and conscientious" and the word "careful" as "paying close attention". The word "conscientious" is defined "been diligent with one's work" . I don't think this can be overly emphasised since it is the very basis and fabric of our relationship with the Most High God. You can just imagine why this faith business ...

All Consuming Desire #5

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour really gave us the definition of faith in Mark 11:23-24. He showed us exactly what we need to do. So everytime we take the faith stand, what we believe matters. We can't say after we've prayed the prayer of faith, "I am expecting such and such from God." To do that is to get out of faith which will abort our prayer. You must believe that you have recieved what you asked for in prayer WHEN YOU PRAY, and then it will manifest. But if you want to wait untill you see it manifest, you will never get to see it. This is where B.U.S.H. comes in. Believe you have recieved Untill Something Happens (untill it manifest). Once you believe you have recieved, stay put in that mode - regardless of how you feel or what you've not seen or felt. Just believe it's done for you already. That's what will cause the manifestation! Jesus said, "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, ...
