Lessons From the Book of Chronicles 4

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola

Shalom! What actually did King Uzziah do that cost him the help of God which he had enjoyed for so many years? The Bible says, "But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction" (2 Chronicles 26: 16), that is, when he became full of himself (meaning: when his successes got to his head), he transgressed against God. What was the transgression? Let's see what the transgression was:

2 Chronicles 26: 18
18 And they withstood Uzziah the king, and said unto him, It appertaineth not unto thee, Uzziah, to burn incense unto the LORD, but to the priests the sons of Aaron, that are consecrated to burn incense: go out of the sanctuary; for thou hast trespassed; neither shall it be for thine honour from the LORD God.

One of the things that you should be aware of is that God works with rules. The earlier you realise this, the better for you. There are things God meant for just you, and there are things meant just for others to do. As long as you keep to these rules you're ok.

Uzziah was only a king, not a king and priest like David was. It was this rule he violated when pride got into him. Imagine this, what he never once attempted for so many years while he was seeking God, when he became proud, he did it. That was the transgression. This was the kind of problem that the Prophet of God, William Braham, had in the 60s, and as a result recieved God's judgement. It is quite dangerous to become selfwilled where God is concerned. God judged him and he died. God judged King Uzziah, and he died leprous.

Let the wisdom of God and your humilty be in place till the end of your life. Recognise your place and stay there. Do not barge into fields that are not yours. Stay within your calling and giftings, and don't intrude into offices which God has not called you into. It could cost you your life.

Till next posting, God bless.

A Soldier Gone To Headquaters

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! A senior friend just went home to be with the Lord, PASTOR PATRICK EZEKUDE OBAZE. He was aged 78 years old. I got to know him in 1985 after I became a part of the Faith Clinic which was founded by Rev. (Dr.) I.K.U. Ibeneme of blessed memory. Uncle 'Bobo' Obaze, as was fondly called by Dr. Ibeneme, was one of the numerous workers that the Faith Clinic had in those days in the mid-80s. All the workers came from different churches and ministries, and were of various ages and giftings. In spite of his age, He was simple and humble. He was easy to get along with, and very kind. He loved Jesus and was as excited about Him as anyone of us was who were much younger than he was. Like other workers of the ministry he was involved in deliverance ministrations. He often traveled with Dr. Ibeneme for outside ministrations. He also had a special love to minister the Holy Ghost baptism. He had great success in this area of ministry. I know it because I was a...

Re-visiting Faith #5

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! One can spend a whole lifetime studying the subject of faith and one will continue to learn so many sides that are involved therein. Let's look at our main text again: Hebrews 11: 6 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Diligence is an attribute and attitude of faith. There is a kind of seriousness that is attached to the Bible kind of faith which is why God demands diligence in the seeker. The dictionary defines the word "diligence" as "careful and conscientious" and the word "careful" as "paying close attention". The word "conscientious" is defined "been diligent with one's work" . I don't think this can be overly emphasised since it is the very basis and fabric of our relationship with the Most High God. You can just imagine why this faith business ...

All Consuming Desire #5

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour really gave us the definition of faith in Mark 11:23-24. He showed us exactly what we need to do. So everytime we take the faith stand, what we believe matters. We can't say after we've prayed the prayer of faith, "I am expecting such and such from God." To do that is to get out of faith which will abort our prayer. You must believe that you have recieved what you asked for in prayer WHEN YOU PRAY, and then it will manifest. But if you want to wait untill you see it manifest, you will never get to see it. This is where B.U.S.H. comes in. Believe you have recieved Untill Something Happens (untill it manifest). Once you believe you have recieved, stay put in that mode - regardless of how you feel or what you've not seen or felt. Just believe it's done for you already. That's what will cause the manifestation! Jesus said, "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, ...
