The 2nd Commandment

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola

Shalom! Jesus gave us this second commandment, "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself" (Matthew 22:39). It means that you should do to your neighbour what you would do for number one - yourself.

How would you like to be treated by others? Treat others that same way. Respect others and be nice to them. Care about the welfare of those around you. Anyone close to you is your neighbour.

Your neighbour also is that person in need. If you were badly in need, what kind of wish would you have at the time. (I would hope that somebody somewhere would just come and bale me out). So put yourself in a needy person's place. Jesus said, "And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them" (Luke 6:31-32). In other words, don't be choosy when it comes to whom you love. Love everybody and do good to them the way you expected them to treat you.

The best way to love your neighbour is to witness to him the Gospel of Jesus. Be concerned about people's eternal state. Jesus commissioned us to preach the Gospel to every creature. No one is left out of this commission - no one. Every Christian have this responsibily. In fact, Jesus went as far as to say to us, "Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use, and persecute you" (Matthew 5: 44).

Your drivers, house-helps, shop assistants, gatemen and security guards are also your neighbours. When you're in the market place, everyone there is your neighbour. You must try and reachout to them. It is your responsiblity to do so just because God commanded us to.

What are you gonna do about this and when? You need to think fast about it. Jesus is waiting on us to obey this commandment.

Till next posting, God bless.

A Soldier Gone To Headquaters

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! A senior friend just went home to be with the Lord, PASTOR PATRICK EZEKUDE OBAZE. He was aged 78 years old. I got to know him in 1985 after I became a part of the Faith Clinic which was founded by Rev. (Dr.) I.K.U. Ibeneme of blessed memory. Uncle 'Bobo' Obaze, as was fondly called by Dr. Ibeneme, was one of the numerous workers that the Faith Clinic had in those days in the mid-80s. All the workers came from different churches and ministries, and were of various ages and giftings. In spite of his age, He was simple and humble. He was easy to get along with, and very kind. He loved Jesus and was as excited about Him as anyone of us was who were much younger than he was. Like other workers of the ministry he was involved in deliverance ministrations. He often traveled with Dr. Ibeneme for outside ministrations. He also had a special love to minister the Holy Ghost baptism. He had great success in this area of ministry. I know it because I was a...

Re-visiting Faith #5

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! One can spend a whole lifetime studying the subject of faith and one will continue to learn so many sides that are involved therein. Let's look at our main text again: Hebrews 11: 6 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Diligence is an attribute and attitude of faith. There is a kind of seriousness that is attached to the Bible kind of faith which is why God demands diligence in the seeker. The dictionary defines the word "diligence" as "careful and conscientious" and the word "careful" as "paying close attention". The word "conscientious" is defined "been diligent with one's work" . I don't think this can be overly emphasised since it is the very basis and fabric of our relationship with the Most High God. You can just imagine why this faith business ...

All Consuming Desire #5

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour really gave us the definition of faith in Mark 11:23-24. He showed us exactly what we need to do. So everytime we take the faith stand, what we believe matters. We can't say after we've prayed the prayer of faith, "I am expecting such and such from God." To do that is to get out of faith which will abort our prayer. You must believe that you have recieved what you asked for in prayer WHEN YOU PRAY, and then it will manifest. But if you want to wait untill you see it manifest, you will never get to see it. This is where B.U.S.H. comes in. Believe you have recieved Untill Something Happens (untill it manifest). Once you believe you have recieved, stay put in that mode - regardless of how you feel or what you've not seen or felt. Just believe it's done for you already. That's what will cause the manifestation! Jesus said, "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, ...
