Re-visiting Faith #1

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola

Shalom! Let's revisit the subject of faith today because it's necessary.

The Bible says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1).

It is very important for you to have an understanding of how faith works. Your victory is dependent on this.

1. Faith is a product of the Word of God. The Bible says, "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17). It doesn't come any other way.

Hearing the Word of God preached or taught in certain areas builds faith in the hearer along those lines. Faith does not come by prayer, laying on of hands, mantle nor by the anointing oil. It comes by hearing God's Word.

When your understanding on the subject is enhanced through hearing the Word, you'll then begin to live by faith.

When faith prays, it considers that he has the answer to his prayer before actual sighting. Faith calls things which be not as though they were so that they will become what it desires to have, and this is what God expects us to do every time.

God requires that we have and exercise faith when we come to Him. The Bible says, "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" (Hebrews 11:6).

You should aim, as a person, to pray and expect results to your prayer. You should be tired of praying without seeing results. God is not pleased with that kind of prayer at all. Pray and see results. Give tithe and the different kinds of offerings, and receive your promised harvest. God gets pleased when this happens.

We'll continue in the next posting. God bless.

A Soldier Gone To Headquaters

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! A senior friend just went home to be with the Lord, PASTOR PATRICK EZEKUDE OBAZE. He was aged 78 years old. I got to know him in 1985 after I became a part of the Faith Clinic which was founded by Rev. (Dr.) I.K.U. Ibeneme of blessed memory. Uncle 'Bobo' Obaze, as was fondly called by Dr. Ibeneme, was one of the numerous workers that the Faith Clinic had in those days in the mid-80s. All the workers came from different churches and ministries, and were of various ages and giftings. In spite of his age, He was simple and humble. He was easy to get along with, and very kind. He loved Jesus and was as excited about Him as anyone of us was who were much younger than he was. Like other workers of the ministry he was involved in deliverance ministrations. He often traveled with Dr. Ibeneme for outside ministrations. He also had a special love to minister the Holy Ghost baptism. He had great success in this area of ministry. I know it because I was a...

The Holy Spirit Moves 1

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Good day to you friend. Today, I want to share some of the things the Holy Spirit had done in my ministry in retrospect. This is meant to inspire you. God can use any believer in Christ to do these things and more. In fact Jesus puts it this way: John 14: 12-14 12 ¶ Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. Sometime, some people left the impression that the things that God used them to do is exclusive to them , but that is not really true. I know this is a strong statement, but it can never be stronger than what Jesus Christ, the Son of God, said above in John 14: 12. There is nothing that God had used someone else to do that He cannot use you to do - absolutely NOTHING! In fact, i...

Dynamic Scriptures 10

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! What you believe when you pray and afterwards matter. What you believe determines whether or not you ever get hold of what you desired of God. Whenever you pray and ask God for anything, God wants you to believe that you have recieved whatever it is you asked for. If you asked God for a cat, believe you have recieved the cat and you will get it. Notice He didn't say you should believe that God is going to bring it, but that you have received it, and you have it now by faith. This is when results come. But if after praying, and you didn't see any difference, you then say, 'I don't think my prayer is answered' , you have just aborted your own prayer. As soon as Jesus cursed the fig tree, He turned around and went His own way. He didn't bother to wait and see whether any change has occurred, "And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it" (Mark 11:14). You c...
