Re-visiting Faith #3

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola

Shalom! We are looking at a word in our lesson for today, and it is 'cometh'.

Hebrews 11: 6
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Our first two lessons dealt with how to please God when we come to Him.

The word 'come' means 'to arrive' and 'move towards'. In what ways do we come to God which requires faith that brings rewards from Him?

1. Each time we praise and worship God in real faith God responds. His presence will overshadow us.

2. Whenever we get into God's Word in faith, He gives revelation knowledge.

3. Each time we get into prayer to ask for what we desire, and we do it in faith, He causes the answer to come.

4. Whenever we decide to wait upon the Lord, and we do it in faith, God will minister to us.

5. When you go out for evangelism in obedience to the great commission, God's presence will attend us and bring the miraculous into manifestation.

According to Hebrews 11: 6, every step of faith towards God will always get it's reward. Anytime you get into faith the supernatural will occur. God will do something.

Faith will cause God to jump over and bypass thousands of people to get to someone who has it.

If you've never been serious about faith before, you better change your stance. Most Christians are suffering because they neglect this subject. You could say the same thing about a lot of churches all over the world.

Till next posting, God bless.

The Holy Spirit Moves 5

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! One major lesson that I began to learn as a born-again Christian is the subject of faith, and I am still learning it after 24years. I found out that if a Christian is ignorant of this subject, he will lead a lopsided life. Things will be very difficult for him in this life. The Bible says, "The just shall live by his faith" (Habakuk 2: 4). God works with those who have learnt and are living and walking by faith. The Bible says, "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" (Hebrews 11: 6). So faith is a must for those that would walk with God. In Mark 11: 22-24, the Bible says, "And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that tho...

Hope, And Then Have Faith in God!

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! There is a clear difference between hope and faith. Hope cannot achieve anything without faith, and faith has nothing to recieve without hope. Hope expects and faith recieves. One of hope's definition is 'eager yearning'. Hope dreams and will keep you smiling, but achieve nothing more than that. Hope is a picture of the things you want to have. Faith, on the other hand, does not expect anything. It is a reciever. Faith takes the unrealities of hope and brings them into the realm of reality. "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11: 1). It's just as if hope has been there waiting and achieving nothing untill faith arrived and grabbed hope and bring into reality what hope dreamt about. Now listen up, faith doesn't just come. Faith is produced through the knowledge of the Word of God that you've repeatedly heard (Romans 10: 17). Many times you don't have to hear God...

Greetings

Hi there, friend! A happy new month to you. Usually, I greet my friends or acquaintances this way, "H.appy New Year" even if the last time I saw them was just a week ago. Just a funny greeting. The exciting ministry times still continues. I have just ended a whole month ministry time with the Believers' Fellowship in Ibadan here. So many people were blessed during the course of the meeting. I don't have pictures here because I misplaced my digi-cam. My Holy Ghost Miracle Service is now what we are preparing for between now and October. It's going to be a two-day event, three services - two evenings and one morning Life Seminar. We are preparing to use a church's venue here in Ibadan. I lost my mother-in-law just two days ago and she's going to be buried next week Saturday. Her own mum is still alive. She was a good mother to all her children, including me. So we plan to give her a beffiting funeral at Owo Town, Ondo State. A friend sent me an e-mail and I ...
