The Redemption Issue

Shalom! What Adam and Eve did in Genesis plunged the world into spiritual darkness:

Genesis 3: 6-7
6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her
husband with her; and he did eat.
7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

What they did gave the devil dominion over man and the whole earth. Every one born into the earth since then is born into sin.

But God, because of the love He has for us, created a line through which Jesus now came into the earth to provide redemption for the whole human race.

To get Jesus here, God had to draw a line of salvation from Abraham to Israel, from Israel to David, and from David to Jesus. Then from Jesus to the whole human race.

Jesus paid the price that set us free from the consequence of Adam's sin by the sacrifice of Himself, shedding His blood on the cross at Calvary. By His act, all human beings are potentially saved. But for that to become a reality, each person must receive Jesus as Saviour
and Lord. Without doing this nothing else will work - nothing. Keeping the Ten Commandments won't do it. Jesus said clearly, "You must be born again" (John 3: 3).

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! One major lesson that I began to learn as a born-again Christian is the subject of faith, and I am still learning it after 24years. I found out that if a Christian is ignorant of this subject, he will lead a lopsided life. Things will be very difficult for him in this life. The Bible says, "The just shall live by his faith" (Habakuk 2: 4). God works with those who have learnt and are living and walking by faith. The Bible says, "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" (Hebrews 11: 6). God can use any believer in Christ to do these things and more. In fact Jesus puts it this way: John 14: 12-14 12 ¶ Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
