The Holy Spirit #2

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola

Shalom! The Holy Spirit has a form like that of a man. The difference is that He is a spirit being, not a physical person, and He is invisible.

This means that if He did not reveal Himself to you, you may not know that He is with you. Spirits cannot be seen with the naked eyes. Yet the Holy Spirit is able to manifest His presence in such a way that you will be so sure and certain that He's there with you.

Acts 2: 2-4
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance
.

In my recent ministration at a church in Ibadan, where I ministered about the Holy Spirit, the Lord manifested His presence with signs, wonders and miracles. It was an awesome sunday service over a week ago.

As I was relating a story of a Holy Spirit occurrence before the turn of this millenium, I began to feel His power on the palm of my right hand which led to the other happenings in that church. It was as if the glory of God came down there. It was a manifestation of the Holy Spirit. Many things happened there to the glory of God.

There's more that I will tell you in the next posting. Till then, God bless.

The Holy Spirit Moves 5

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! One major lesson that I began to learn as a born-again Christian is the subject of faith, and I am still learning it after 24years. I found out that if a Christian is ignorant of this subject, he will lead a lopsided life. Things will be very difficult for him in this life. The Bible says, "The just shall live by his faith" (Habakuk 2: 4). God works with those who have learnt and are living and walking by faith. The Bible says, "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" (Hebrews 11: 6). So faith is a must for those that would walk with God. In Mark 11: 22-24, the Bible says, "And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that tho...

Your Exposure Matters

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola What kind of knowledge have you been exposed to? What have you fed yourself with? What kind of knowledge have you recieved through your Pastor? Whether you realise it or not, you are influenced and your life is directed in the direction of the kind of mindset that you have, which is largely influenced by the kind of knowledge that you have. What you know and what you're ignorant of affect your life. The kind of Pastor you listen to, and the kind of church you attend affects you. The kind of books, tapes, videos and the kind of friends you keep affects your life. Make no mistake about it, you are what you eat. Jesus puts it this way, "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh" (Luke 6:45). What you filled your heart with, comes out of your mouth and your life. Your...

The Holy Spirit Moves 4

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! The works of the Holy Spirit varies, no one knows it all. But it's so exciting when one finds out about them. I was part of the Faith Clinic team that travelled with Dr. I. K. U. Ibeneme to minister at a campmeeting, December 1985. It was a deliverance session with the church on the outskirt of Lagos State. Our method of ministry was to ask individuals what problem they have, and we minister accordingly. After I had prayed with several people, it came to the turn of a brother. I went thru the normal process of our ministration and he stuttered and said, 'I am a stammerer'. I was flabbergasted because at that moment I didn't know what to do. But I just said, 'In Jesus' name, I plead the blood. Be healed!' and I took off to another place. During the testimony time, the brother said in very clear words, 'You know me. . . ' and the place became wild with excitement and shouts of 'Hallelujah!' rended the air!...
