The Holy Spirit #3

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola

Shalom! The Bible says, "While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee. Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them" (Acts 10:19-20).

The Holy Spirit is a person who speaks. He has His own voice with which He speaks. When He speaks to you, His voice will be heard. Jesus said, on several occasions, "He that has ear to hear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."

The Holy Spirit speaks in different ways:

1. By inward revelation (Romans 8: 14-16).

2. By the Word of God - a rhema "And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven" (Matthew 16:17).

3. He speaks through the revelations of dreams and visions.

4. He speaks through His own authoritative voice.

5. He speaks by the presence or absence of peace (Colossians 3: 16).

6. He speaks through the gifts of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12: 7-11).

7. He speaks through men and women of God. He speaks through other Christians.

8. He sometimes speaks through God's angels.

9. He speaks through the unction on the inside of the born again Christians "But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things" (1 John 2: 20).

Effort must be given to fostering fellowship with Him. Since He has His own personality, you can learn from Bible how to relate with Him.

He is the kind of person who cares about what happens to you and is ready to listen to you and help. He is not a weak person. Being your Comforter is more than an official role in your life. This name also shows us His nature, that He is a caring person.

The name Comforter also mean, Counsellor, Advocate, Standby, Strenghtener, Intercessor, Helper, and Friend. All these names indicates positive actions. For an example, people get paid as a profession for offering counselling services to people. But you can get it freely from the Holy Spirit. You don't need to book any appointment with Him. He lives with you all the time!

Till next posting, God bless.

A Soldier Gone To Headquaters

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! A senior friend just went home to be with the Lord, PASTOR PATRICK EZEKUDE OBAZE. He was aged 78 years old. I got to know him in 1985 after I became a part of the Faith Clinic which was founded by Rev. (Dr.) I.K.U. Ibeneme of blessed memory. Uncle 'Bobo' Obaze, as was fondly called by Dr. Ibeneme, was one of the numerous workers that the Faith Clinic had in those days in the mid-80s. All the workers came from different churches and ministries, and were of various ages and giftings. In spite of his age, He was simple and humble. He was easy to get along with, and very kind. He loved Jesus and was as excited about Him as anyone of us was who were much younger than he was. Like other workers of the ministry he was involved in deliverance ministrations. He often traveled with Dr. Ibeneme for outside ministrations. He also had a special love to minister the Holy Ghost baptism. He had great success in this area of ministry. I know it because I was a...

Re-visiting Faith #5

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! One can spend a whole lifetime studying the subject of faith and one will continue to learn so many sides that are involved therein. Let's look at our main text again: Hebrews 11: 6 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Diligence is an attribute and attitude of faith. There is a kind of seriousness that is attached to the Bible kind of faith which is why God demands diligence in the seeker. The dictionary defines the word "diligence" as "careful and conscientious" and the word "careful" as "paying close attention". The word "conscientious" is defined "been diligent with one's work" . I don't think this can be overly emphasised since it is the very basis and fabric of our relationship with the Most High God. You can just imagine why this faith business ...

All Consuming Desire #5

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour really gave us the definition of faith in Mark 11:23-24. He showed us exactly what we need to do. So everytime we take the faith stand, what we believe matters. We can't say after we've prayed the prayer of faith, "I am expecting such and such from God." To do that is to get out of faith which will abort our prayer. You must believe that you have recieved what you asked for in prayer WHEN YOU PRAY, and then it will manifest. But if you want to wait untill you see it manifest, you will never get to see it. This is where B.U.S.H. comes in. Believe you have recieved Untill Something Happens (untill it manifest). Once you believe you have recieved, stay put in that mode - regardless of how you feel or what you've not seen or felt. Just believe it's done for you already. That's what will cause the manifestation! Jesus said, "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, ...
