The Bible Effect #2

The Bible says, "Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. And there was great joy in that city" (Acts 8:5-8).

The key to seeing rapid growth in a church and in any ministry is when the people experiences God's blessings in their lives. But when this is under-played, there will be little or no growth in such a place.

When the Word of God is preached or taught, people ought to be edified, and built up. The ministry of the Word should bring about healing and liberty to the people.

My question is: When such things are not happening, what have you been preaching or teaching? God always confirm His Word with signs following.

Check this out, regarding God's servants: "But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings" (Jeremiah 23:22).

When a servant of God stands in his calling, and delivers God's message to His people, it will impact their lives without fail.

Looking at the above verse, why are people's lives not changing?

1. The minister is not standing in God's counsel, and

2. He is not telling people what God said he should tell them.

If you want an impactful ministry, take a good look at this message today. It doesn't really matter what the subject is, as long as it's what God actually said, He will confirm it.

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! One major lesson that I began to learn as a born-again Christian is the subject of faith, and I am still learning it after 24years. I found out that if a Christian is ignorant of this subject, he will lead a lopsided life. Things will be very difficult for him in this life. The Bible says, "The just shall live by his faith" (Habakuk 2: 4). God works with those who have learnt and are living and walking by faith. The Bible says, "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" (Hebrews 11: 6). Your Exposure Matters

Whether you realise it or not, you are influenced and your life is directed in the direction of the kind of mindset that you have, which is largely influenced by the kind of knowledge that you have. What you know and what you're ignorant of affect your life. The kind of Pastor you listen to, and the kind of church you attend affects you. The kind of books, tapes, videos and the kind of friends you keep affects your life. Make no mistake about it, you are what you eat. Jesus puts it this way, "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh" (Luke 6:45).
