The first and most important committement of the committed Christian is to his Lord, Jesus Christ - not to a church or a pastor, to Jesus. This means that whatever Jesus says is more important to him than whatever anyone else has to say.
If what his pastor says to do is contrary to what Jesus says by His Spirit and His Word, he will follow Jesus other than whatever his pastor said.
I am in no way encouraging rebellion, but if necessary, a Christian should disregard anything that is contrary to what Jesus said.
Jesus said, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth" (Acts 1:8). Jesus has commanded us: "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15). These are the words of Jesus to us all, not to a selected few, all of us Christians. What are you doing about it? You have this responsibility to witness to others about Jesus hanging over you. People will die and go to hell if you will not open your mouth and talk to them about Jesus now, wherever you find yourself.
Make up your mind right now to do the will of God. You will be rewarded one day.
Till next posting, God bless.
