The Bible says, "How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?" (Hebrews 2:3-4).
God confirms and bears witness to His Word (the Gospel). The supernatural must be seen both in the church and out there in the evangelistic field.
In some churches the supernatural only happen in the pastor's office. A number of years ago, a minister was going to minister to someone in private. God told him, "I want My ministry done in the open. I want the people to see My power."
I know from experience how it feels when people get baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues publicly in church. It is awe-inspiring. It affects people who witnessed it positively and powerfully. The same result is experienced where healing and deliverance is ministered.
Remember this verse, "Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth" (Psalm 110:3). If you really want people to come eagerly to church, get God to move and confirm His Word by preaching and teaching His Word. The gifts of the Spirit should be in constant manifestation in your church and ministry. Prayer alone will not bring this to your church. You must study the Bible along these lines and preach it to your people, and at your evangelistic meetings.
God is a miracle worker. He loves meeting people's needs. He is the same yesterday, today and for ever!
Till next posting, God bless.
