The Power of God #1

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola

Shalom! The power of God is real. You have to witness it to know what I'm talking about. If all you know about it is what the Bible says about it, then it's good for a start. But wait untill you actually witness it, then you will have a completely different and deep idea about it. Consider this:

Exodus 14:21-22
21 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.
22 And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.

Untill you actually experience this kind of manifestation of the power of God, all you have is a head knowledge or theory.

What I want to say is this, just as it was with Prophet Moses, the power of God in us can affect natural things around us as we've just read from Exodus.

The separation of the red sea for the Israelites to pass thru on dry ground was a great sight to behold.

1. A strong wind blew into the sea as soon as Moses stretched out his hand towards it as God instructed him to do.

2. The wind caused the sea to go back and made the sea into a dry land, and the waters were divided.

3. The waters became two walls on either side of the dry land,

4. Over 2 million Israelites passed thru the midst of the sea on dry land. There was no mud. Their horses and livestock passed thru with no difficulty whatsoever.

5. As soon as the last Israelite passed thru on dry ground, Moses stretched his hands again, at God's instruction and closed up the sea over the Egyptian army. God worked with Moses and He is willing to work with you too.

Till next posting, God bless.

Hope, And Then Have Faith in God!

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! There is a clear difference between hope and faith. Hope cannot achieve anything without faith, and faith has nothing to recieve without hope. Hope expects and faith recieves. One of hope's definition is 'eager yearning'. Hope dreams and will keep you smiling, but achieve nothing more than that. Hope is a picture of the things you want to have. Faith, on the other hand, does not expect anything. It is a reciever. Faith takes the unrealities of hope and brings them into the realm of reality. "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11: 1). It's just as if hope has been there waiting and achieving nothing untill faith arrived and grabbed hope and bring into reality what hope dreamt about. Now listen up, faith doesn't just come. Faith is produced through the knowledge of the Word of God that you've repeatedly heard (Romans 10: 17). Many times you don't have to hear God...

The Holy Spirit Moves 5

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! One major lesson that I began to learn as a born-again Christian is the subject of faith, and I am still learning it after 24years. I found out that if a Christian is ignorant of this subject, he will lead a lopsided life. Things will be very difficult for him in this life. The Bible says, "The just shall live by his faith" (Habakuk 2: 4). God works with those who have learnt and are living and walking by faith. The Bible says, "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" (Hebrews 11: 6). So faith is a must for those that would walk with God. In Mark 11: 22-24, the Bible says, "And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that tho...

Your Exposure Matters

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola What kind of knowledge have you been exposed to? What have you fed yourself with? What kind of knowledge have you recieved through your Pastor? Whether you realise it or not, you are influenced and your life is directed in the direction of the kind of mindset that you have, which is largely influenced by the kind of knowledge that you have. What you know and what you're ignorant of affect your life. The kind of Pastor you listen to, and the kind of church you attend affects you. The kind of books, tapes, videos and the kind of friends you keep affects your life. Make no mistake about it, you are what you eat. Jesus puts it this way, "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh" (Luke 6:45). What you filled your heart with, comes out of your mouth and your life. Your...
