All Consuming Desire #4

Shalom! A desire is a strong wish to do or to have something, the Collins Dictionary defines. A desire is a strong wish to have something. This is very much the definition I want to talk about.

A lot of believers, in an attempt to recieve things from God usually give up the moment it seems to them God has not answered. They may end up saying, Delay is not denial or, God will do it in His time.

First, God never delays answer to prayers from His people. Secondly, God always give prompt attention to our prayers the MOMENT WE PRAY! And He answers immediately. But for things that we asked for to manifest, we must believe that we recieve WHEN WE PRAY!

The question is, Since you have expressed your desire in prayer, is that desire the kind that is ready to take 'No' for an answer? If this is your attitude you will never get any of your prayers answered. You're not ready to recieve by faith. What you recieve by faith is what you will get to see in this life.

Faith always will achieve its objectives - since it is based on the Word of God. Jesus is the Author and Finisher of our faith.

It is the preaching of God's Word that will produce faith in anyone who heard it. But we must follow thru with our faith to enjoy the promise.

This now brings us to a crucial point. There are certain things that we don't really need to pray for. All we need to do is to accept them by faith in order to enjoy them.

For instance, you're already healed, and delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the kingdom of His dear Son, Jesus. At least that's what the Bible teaches and what you should believe.

Time Element in Faith

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! There is an element of time involved in the principle of faith. Misunderstanding this important element will cause a failure of faith. The Bible says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1). When should one take the step of faith? (Now!) Paul said, "Now faith is . . . the evidence of things not seen". When you are standing by faith, what you're believing God for is neither seen nor felt. You're just standing in faith for it - calling those things which be not as though they were. If you've asked God for a car, by faith you say, 'I believe that I have my car now.' This is neither pretence nor a lie. You really must believe this way. You don't have to see it first or feel it before you believe it. Hope, And Then Have Faith in God!

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! There is a clear difference between hope and faith. Hope cannot achieve anything without faith, and faith has nothing to recieve without hope. Hope expects and faith recieves. One of hope's definition is 'eager yearning'. Hope dreams and will keep you smiling, but achieve nothing more than that. Hope is a picture of the things you want to have. Faith, on the other hand, does not expect anything. It is a reciever. Faith takes the unrealities of hope and brings them into the realm of reality. "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11: 1). It's just as if hope has been there waiting and achieving nothing untill faith arrived and grabbed hope and bring into reality what hope dreamt about. Now listen up, faith doesn't just come. Faith is produced through the knowledge of the Word of God that you've repeatedly heard (Romans 10: 17). Many times you don't have to hear God...
