Communion of the Holy Ghost #2

by Revd 'Remi Tejumola

For many years, a lot of Christians have prayed and have desired that God would grant them fellowship with the Holy Ghost, and it has seemed as if their prayers have gone unanswered. This is what the Bible says, "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" (Hebrews 11:6). I want to suggest that you go over this verse of the Bible as many times as possible. The understanding you will receive will open up a lot of things in your relationship with the Almighty God.

When you want to approach the Holy Ghost for fellowship, the approach of faith matters very much. You must approach Him the way Hebrews 11:6 instructs - by faith. You must be certain that He is there and that He will respond to your invitation. That is faith. You shouldn't be expecting a physical sensation to confirm His Presence. Go by the Word, He is there with you.

Lying on the bed loosely sometimes depicts an unserious attitude on our part. So I suggest that you either get up on your feet or get down on your knees, and start talking to Him with reverence because you are before the Almighty God.

If you so desire, and it's okay, begin to sing songs of praise and worship to Him ... quietly. The idea is not to attract people's attention to you, but to be able to connect with Him privately in a way that will be benefitial to you. You may have to switch off your phones and lock your door. If you could still be disturbed where you are, you may have to look for somewhere else to be alone with Him.

When singing, be careful not to sing just any kind of song. Prepare for yourself the kind of songs you want to use in worship.

Have your Bible, pen and notebook with you. You are likely to need all these precious items. Do not be in a hurry. You are having an appointment with God. What or who else could be more important?

Till next posting, God bless.

A Soldier Gone To Headquaters

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! A senior friend just went home to be with the Lord, PASTOR PATRICK EZEKUDE OBAZE. He was aged 78 years old. I got to know him in 1985 after I became a part of the Faith Clinic which was founded by Rev. (Dr.) I.K.U. Ibeneme of blessed memory. Uncle 'Bobo' Obaze, as was fondly called by Dr. Ibeneme, was one of the numerous workers that the Faith Clinic had in those days in the mid-80s. All the workers came from different churches and ministries, and were of various ages and giftings. In spite of his age, He was simple and humble. He was easy to get along with, and very kind. He loved Jesus and was as excited about Him as anyone of us was who were much younger than he was. Like other workers of the ministry he was involved in deliverance ministrations. He often traveled with Dr. Ibeneme for outside ministrations. He also had a special love to minister the Holy Ghost baptism. He had great success in this area of ministry. I know it because I was a...

Re-visiting Faith #5

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! One can spend a whole lifetime studying the subject of faith and one will continue to learn so many sides that are involved therein. Let's look at our main text again: Hebrews 11: 6 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Diligence is an attribute and attitude of faith. There is a kind of seriousness that is attached to the Bible kind of faith which is why God demands diligence in the seeker. The dictionary defines the word "diligence" as "careful and conscientious" and the word "careful" as "paying close attention". The word "conscientious" is defined "been diligent with one's work" . I don't think this can be overly emphasised since it is the very basis and fabric of our relationship with the Most High God. You can just imagine why this faith business ...

All Consuming Desire #5

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour really gave us the definition of faith in Mark 11:23-24. He showed us exactly what we need to do. So everytime we take the faith stand, what we believe matters. We can't say after we've prayed the prayer of faith, "I am expecting such and such from God." To do that is to get out of faith which will abort our prayer. You must believe that you have recieved what you asked for in prayer WHEN YOU PRAY, and then it will manifest. But if you want to wait untill you see it manifest, you will never get to see it. This is where B.U.S.H. comes in. Believe you have recieved Untill Something Happens (untill it manifest). Once you believe you have recieved, stay put in that mode - regardless of how you feel or what you've not seen or felt. Just believe it's done for you already. That's what will cause the manifestation! Jesus said, "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, ...
