Holy Ghost with a Mission

by Revd 'Remi Tejumola

Acts 2:1-4 (ESV)
1 When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place.
2 And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting.
3 And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Over 18 years ago, I attended a wedding at the Sword of the Spirit Ministries Headquarters, Christ Life Church, Olaogun, off Old Ife road in Ibadan. As the service progressed, the time came for the minister to preach the Word for the event, he quoted the Scriptures for the message he was to deliver, and as he did so, Acts 2:1-4 came to me. I saw what actually happened in this biblical account, most especially the 2nd and 4th verses. I saw the Holy Ghost in giant form, with mighty power and glory left heaven and came that same way to the earth!

As I saw that spiritual vision, I felt as if I was going to float out of that place because of the awesomeness of the revelation. I was completely cut off from the message that was preached that day. From that day till now I have no recollection of what was preached. I realized on that day in a vivid form that the Holy Ghost came into the earth as God in full power and glory and authority.

I knew from this revelation that the Holy Ghost wanted to carry out an invasion through His people. I've never heard of such a thing before, but I do have some ideas. So I began to prepare an outline for the Programme which later became my 1st published book titled, The Holy Ghost Invasion.

Within a period of about 3 years I held 8 editions of this Programme in a few churches. I felt led and wrote 30 churches in Ibadan and introduced the Programme to them, especially to those who knew me. But for whatever reasons they had they did not open the doors of their churches. Some didn't get the letter, heard about it and invited me to hold it for their church and we had tremendous services in the Holy Ghost. To date, I have held more than 20 editions of it. Recently, God began to speak to different ministers that the church (as a whole) as stopped evangelism and that the church is not ready for heaven. During the last Easter celebration, I became burdened about the habits of the Church about Easter and Christmas. Then I knew I have a God-given responsibility through the Holy Ghost Invasion Programme to get the Church moving again and also ready for Rapture.

For so many years the church has focussed on, and preached about the Holy Ghost baptism and speaking in tongues, and has failed to see that a person came among us as real as Jesus was and even so in a more powerful way than Jesus did - with unlimited and unrestricted power and glory as God! People have said in a sarcastic way that God would not come down from heaven to earth to help us, but that's exactly what He has done, first in Jesus, and secondly since that particular day of Pentecost when the Holy Ghost arrived on earth. He came down to help us with evangelism which is His supreme purpose!

Holy Ghost Conduits
When He came, He came to make the Body of Christ His home. His main purpose is to use us Christians as conduits of His power to reach the entire world with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ with signs, wonders and miracles. He is here for an invasion! Many people have tried to explain the invasion without actually getting the revelation, so they interpret it in funny ways.

This is what the Bible says, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth" (Acts 1:8). Now the idea is to get committed believers, empower them with the anointing of the Holy Ghost and sent them out to the uttermost part of the earth - the same unlimited and unrestricted power of the Holy Ghost flowing through them with mighty signs, wonders and miracles as they preach the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, bringing in the harvest of lost souls for this end time!

Examples:

Jesus' Disciples

Matthew 10:1
1 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

Luke 10:1-12
1 After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.
2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.
3 Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.
4 Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way.
5 And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house.
6 And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again.
7 And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.
8 And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:
9 And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.
10 But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say,
11 Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.
12 But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.

Typical Samson's Example of the Invasion:

Judges 15:1-5
1 But it came to pass within a while after, in the time of wheat harvest, that Samson visited his wife with a kid; and he said, I will go in to my wife into the chamber. But her father would not suffer him to go in.
2 And her father said, I verily thought that thou hadst utterly hated her; therefore I gave her to thy companion: is not her younger sister fairer than she? take her, I pray thee, instead of her.
3 And Samson said concerning them, Now shall I be more blameless than the Philistines, though I do them a displeasure.
4 And Samson went and caught three hundred foxes, and took firebrands, and turned tail to tail, and put a firebrand in the midst between two tails.
5 And when he had set the brands on fire, he let them go into the standing corn of the Philistines, and burnt up both the shocks, and also the standing corn, with the vineyards and olives.

How Will God Do It?

1. God will seek out from among us and anoint whomsoever's heart is perfect towards Him and He will send that person or persons wherever He wanted them.

2 Chronicles 16:9
9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him...

Psalms 89:20
20 I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:

2. He will anoint others for where they are to do the same works if they are willing.

Till next posting, God bless.

A Soldier Gone To Headquaters

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! A senior friend just went home to be with the Lord, PASTOR PATRICK EZEKUDE OBAZE. He was aged 78 years old. I got to know him in 1985 after I became a part of the Faith Clinic which was founded by Rev. (Dr.) I.K.U. Ibeneme of blessed memory. Uncle 'Bobo' Obaze, as was fondly called by Dr. Ibeneme, was one of the numerous workers that the Faith Clinic had in those days in the mid-80s. All the workers came from different churches and ministries, and were of various ages and giftings. In spite of his age, He was simple and humble. He was easy to get along with, and very kind. He loved Jesus and was as excited about Him as anyone of us was who were much younger than he was. Like other workers of the ministry he was involved in deliverance ministrations. He often traveled with Dr. Ibeneme for outside ministrations. He also had a special love to minister the Holy Ghost baptism. He had great success in this area of ministry. I know it because I was a...

The Holy Spirit Moves 4

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! The works of the Holy Spirit varies, no one knows it all. But it's so exciting when one finds out about them. I was part of the Faith Clinic team that travelled with Dr. I. K. U. Ibeneme to minister at a campmeeting, December 1985. It was a deliverance session with the church on the outskirt of Lagos State. Our method of ministry was to ask individuals what problem they have, and we minister accordingly. After I had prayed with several people, it came to the turn of a brother. I went thru the normal process of our ministration and he stuttered and said, 'I am a stammerer'. I was flabbergasted because at that moment I didn't know what to do. But I just said, 'In Jesus' name, I plead the blood. Be healed!' and I took off to another place. During the testimony time, the brother said in very clear words, 'You know me. . . ' and the place became wild with excitement and shouts of 'Hallelujah!' rended the air!...

Faith and the Will of God

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! Where exactly in the prayer of faith can we find the will of God? The will of God means what GOD expects, requires and demands, to be done by you. Paul said in his epistle to the Hebrew Christians, "... ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise" (Hebrews 10:36). It is after you've done the will of God that YOU will experience the fulfillment of the promise. The will of God for you when using Mark 11: 24 is that part where Jesus said, "... when ye pray, believe that you recieve them ..." . Once you miss this part, you would have wasted your time and prayer. The will of God in this verse deals with, 1. The time of your prayer WHEN YOU PRAY, and, 2. What you believe when YOU PRAY. The other important thing about your prayer life that goes with the matter of the will of God has to do with your life. You must be a person of godly character. You must fear God and treat other peo...
