Faith Practice: No Waiting

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola

The Bible says, "For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise" (Hebrews 10:36).

Patience is a form of waiting, but not the way people understood it, especially once it's associated with faith. Faith and patience are like twins, they go hand in glove. They work together. In fact, when you have real faith patience will be evident. Your calmness in the face of SEEMLY unanswered prayer proves your faith. Your faith and patience are based on the conviction you receive from the Word of God (Romans 10:17).

Many believers have a huge problem understanding how faith works. But once the subject is clearly understood they will be on their way to certain victory in all areas of their lives.

Isaiah 28:16
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

The sure foundation spoken of here is the Word of God. This means that you can depend upon God's Word and it won't fail you. But the Word of God spoken here is a description of the nature and trait of real faith: He that believeth shall not make haste. Another Bible translation says, "He that believes shall not be hasty." Although the translation I like best is the Good News Bible which says, "The faith that is firm is also patient."

When patience is expressed with faith, its calmness is an expression that says, 'I know that my prayer is answered and I believe that I have received what I asked God for!' You are not waiting for God to give it to you since you believe you have received it. God only requires you to believe you have received. Believe that YOU GOT WHAT YOU ASKED GOD FOR, THEN GOD WILL ENSURE THAT IT MANIFEST! Your faith that IT IS DONE is what will initiate the manifestation.

Mark 11:24
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

It is when you believe that you got it that you really got it, not when it manifests. This is how it works: Until you believe you got it you will not get it. If you doubted you got it WHEN you prayed, you will not get it. It's this simple. Don't make the mistake of waiting till it manifest before believing you have received. Believe now that you got it - believe it in your heart and say it with your mouth. Let every word and every action say that you got it, even though it may not feel like it or feel like it. (If you still feel like asking, What should I do next? it means that you are yet to understand it. So go back to those scriptures, spend more time in them).

If you found yourself struggling with this principle of faith, it indicates that you are yet to understand the principle. My suggestion is that you should stop praying about the matter now, and spend more time in the Word, especially these Bible passages related to this topic. If you have access to this book, 'How You Can Be Led By The Spirit Of God' by Kenneth E. Hagin, pls read the account of how he received his healing. It will really help you like it has helped me. Every word in the Bible verses used here in this teaching matter.

Till next posting, God bless.

A Soldier Gone To Headquaters

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! A senior friend just went home to be with the Lord, PASTOR PATRICK EZEKUDE OBAZE. He was aged 78 years old. I got to know him in 1985 after I became a part of the Faith Clinic which was founded by Rev. (Dr.) I.K.U. Ibeneme of blessed memory. Uncle 'Bobo' Obaze, as was fondly called by Dr. Ibeneme, was one of the numerous workers that the Faith Clinic had in those days in the mid-80s. All the workers came from different churches and ministries, and were of various ages and giftings. In spite of his age, He was simple and humble. He was easy to get along with, and very kind. He loved Jesus and was as excited about Him as anyone of us was who were much younger than he was. Like other workers of the ministry he was involved in deliverance ministrations. He often traveled with Dr. Ibeneme for outside ministrations. He also had a special love to minister the Holy Ghost baptism. He had great success in this area of ministry. I know it because I was a...

The Holy Spirit Moves 4

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! The works of the Holy Spirit varies, no one knows it all. But it's so exciting when one finds out about them. I was part of the Faith Clinic team that travelled with Dr. I. K. U. Ibeneme to minister at a campmeeting, December 1985. It was a deliverance session with the church on the outskirt of Lagos State. Our method of ministry was to ask individuals what problem they have, and we minister accordingly. After I had prayed with several people, it came to the turn of a brother. I went thru the normal process of our ministration and he stuttered and said, 'I am a stammerer'. I was flabbergasted because at that moment I didn't know what to do. But I just said, 'In Jesus' name, I plead the blood. Be healed!' and I took off to another place. During the testimony time, the brother said in very clear words, 'You know me. . . ' and the place became wild with excitement and shouts of 'Hallelujah!' rended the air!...

Faith and the Will of God

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! Where exactly in the prayer of faith can we find the will of God? The will of God means what GOD expects, requires and demands, to be done by you. Paul said in his epistle to the Hebrew Christians, "... ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise" (Hebrews 10:36). It is after you've done the will of God that YOU will experience the fulfillment of the promise. The will of God for you when using Mark 11: 24 is that part where Jesus said, "... when ye pray, believe that you recieve them ..." . Once you miss this part, you would have wasted your time and prayer. The will of God in this verse deals with, 1. The time of your prayer WHEN YOU PRAY, and, 2. What you believe when YOU PRAY. The other important thing about your prayer life that goes with the matter of the will of God has to do with your life. You must be a person of godly character. You must fear God and treat other peo...
