.::Walk in the Spirit (2)::.

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola

I closed my last post with these words: When you don't walk in the Spirit your prayers will not work at all. (I believe that arrested your attention). Good!

If you really want to know what works automatically in life, get this: if you are not walking in the Spirit, you are walking after/in the flesh. Let's get more practical.

The Apostle Paul gave us a list of fleshly conducts that our human body is prone to manifest in his letter/epistle to the Galatians church:

Galatians 5:19-21
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things SHALL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

I cannot define all these fleshly attributes for you. Help yourself with a dictionary to define each of these words. But let me give you two other scriptures with the things I have to say now, then close for the day. The Bible here tells us that when we walk in the flesh we SHALL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD!

Romans 8:1
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

This means that as long as you walk in the Spirit you will not experience any condemnation from God, and in the light of another scripture, your heart will not condemn you (1 John 3:21-22).

The Lord Jesus said, "If ye abide in me, AND MY WORDS ABIDE IN YOU, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you" (John 15:7 KJV).

The walk in the Spirit is not an automatic thing at all. We have been living and walking in the flesh before we met Christ and got born-again, but after getting saved most of us are yet to learn to walk in the Spirit.

By the virtue of getting born-again we abide in Christ, but it is only by the renewal of our minds with God's Word and living by it that we will begin to walk in the Spirit and have His Word abiding in us. Then we will pray and our prayers WILL BE ANSWERED! (Romans 12:1-2).

More to come. The Bible says, "When we walk in the flesh we SHALL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD!" Watch out for the explanation in the next post. God bless.

A Soldier Gone To Headquaters

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! A senior friend just went home to be with the Lord, PASTOR PATRICK EZEKUDE OBAZE. He was aged 78 years old. I got to know him in 1985 after I became a part of the Faith Clinic which was founded by Rev. (Dr.) I.K.U. Ibeneme of blessed memory. Uncle 'Bobo' Obaze, as was fondly called by Dr. Ibeneme, was one of the numerous workers that the Faith Clinic had in those days in the mid-80s. All the workers came from different churches and ministries, and were of various ages and giftings. In spite of his age, He was simple and humble. He was easy to get along with, and very kind. He loved Jesus and was as excited about Him as anyone of us was who were much younger than he was. Like other workers of the ministry he was involved in deliverance ministrations. He often traveled with Dr. Ibeneme for outside ministrations. He also had a special love to minister the Holy Ghost baptism. He had great success in this area of ministry. I know it because I was a...

Re-visiting Faith #5

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! One can spend a whole lifetime studying the subject of faith and one will continue to learn so many sides that are involved therein. Let's look at our main text again: Hebrews 11: 6 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Diligence is an attribute and attitude of faith. There is a kind of seriousness that is attached to the Bible kind of faith which is why God demands diligence in the seeker. The dictionary defines the word "diligence" as "careful and conscientious" and the word "careful" as "paying close attention". The word "conscientious" is defined "been diligent with one's work" . I don't think this can be overly emphasised since it is the very basis and fabric of our relationship with the Most High God. You can just imagine why this faith business ...

All Consuming Desire #5

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour really gave us the definition of faith in Mark 11:23-24. He showed us exactly what we need to do. So everytime we take the faith stand, what we believe matters. We can't say after we've prayed the prayer of faith, "I am expecting such and such from God." To do that is to get out of faith which will abort our prayer. You must believe that you have recieved what you asked for in prayer WHEN YOU PRAY, and then it will manifest. But if you want to wait untill you see it manifest, you will never get to see it. This is where B.U.S.H. comes in. Believe you have recieved Untill Something Happens (untill it manifest). Once you believe you have recieved, stay put in that mode - regardless of how you feel or what you've not seen or felt. Just believe it's done for you already. That's what will cause the manifestation! Jesus said, "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, ...
