I want you to understand that this record of what God saw concerning King Amaziah could only have been gotten through the revelation given by the Holy Spirit. But whether or not they were chosen by God, only a few of all of Israel's kings walked closely with God. If God told men not to put their trust in men, you can be sure that if there are people whom He trusts, they must have earned it.
