#FaithBasics: Revd 'Remi Tejumola

                                               The Truth about Our Faith                                                  By Revd 'Remi Tejumola The Christian life began in faith and continues in faith. The Word of God says that God has dealt to every man ' the measure of faith ', and that the ' Just shall live by his faith .' The walk of faith never does come to an end. It continues for the rest of our Christian life, especially when we realize that's what God requires of us. THE MEASURE OF FAITH is dealt to individual Christians at the point where the Gospel message is presented to him and he believes it and receives Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. This faith secures eternal salvation for that believer. (But he's not expected to end there, t...

.::Steps To Receiving The Holy Ghost Baptism Now::.

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola A man wrote my boss, Revd (Dr.) I.K.U. Ibeneme, in 1990 from Calabar. He was a staff of Nigeria Prisons Service. He desired to be filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking with other tongues. Dr. Ibeneme passed the letter unto me to attend to. He knew since 1985 that this is my area of interest. I took up the assignment and dealt with it. When the man followed the same steps I am about to give you, the Holy Ghost fell upon him, he fell down and began to speak in tongues for the next two hours! Jesus is the One who baptizes with the Holy Ghost and fire up till now. I will show you few instances in the Bible where people experienced the Holy Ghost baptism with the evidence of speaking in tongues: Acts 2:4 4 And THEY WERE ALL FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST, AND BEGAN TO SPEAK WITH OTHER TONGUES, AS THE SPIRIT GAVE THEM UTTERANCE. Acts 10:37-46 37 That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began ...

.::Walk in the Spirit (2)::.

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola I closed my last post with these words: When you don't walk in the Spirit your prayers will not work at all. (I believe that arrested your attention). Good! If you really want to know what works automatically in life, get this: if you are not walking in the Spirit, you are walking after/in the flesh. Let's get more practical. The Apostle Paul gave us a list of fleshly conducts that our human body is prone to manifest in his letter/epistle to the Galatians church: Galatians 5:19-21 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,  20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things SHALL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD. I cannot define all these fleshly attributes for you. Help yourself with ...

.::Walking in the Spirit::.

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola To walk in the Spirit is not really different from walking in the Word of God. Have you ever heard others or you too have actually said this, Do not spiritualize everything? In actual fact you would be wrong when you don't. Walking in the Spirit involves allowing the fruit of the Spirit to blossom in your life with the following noticeable traits of godliness and Christlikeness: Love (a strong positive emotion of regard and affection for God and for your fellowman), Joy (emotion of great happiness, especially as a result of salvation through the grace of God in Christ Jesus),  Peace (harmonious relations; freedom from disputes: having achieved peace with God; and ready to share it with your fellowmen),  Longsuffering (patient: good natured-tolerance),  Gentleness (acting  in a manner that is gentle and mild and even-tempered), Goodness (kindness: tendency to be kind and forgiving),  Faith (faithfulness:  constancy, dedication,...

.::Before You Ask For It::.

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Jesus says, "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them" (Mark 11:24). I know that a lot of Christians are familiar with this verse of scripture, and probably could quote it with many other relevant scriptures. But many of these believers have failed lots of times to reap the abundant benefits therein. Here's the reason why: They have not been fellowshipping with the Giver - their Heavenly Father . They've behaved like the mischievous child who badged into his father's privacy without any courtesy expressed, and no fellowship, but just entered in and start demanding things of him. Of course, he has the rights to those things. But if the father does not approve of such attitude those things he wanted may be denied him. Jesus taught us in The Lord's Prayer to worship God first and fellowship with Him before and after asking for our daily bread. "Pra...

.::The Balance to Life::.

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Matthew 22:35-40 35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,  36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?  37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.  38 This is the first and great commandment.  39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.  40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.  Loving God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy mind is the most important act you can put forth in your life, and God requires this of you . That is why it is a commandment. A commandment is a charge, an instruction you are expected to keep and obey - a rule you are to observe strictly . No, it's not an advice! Many times when people fell in love it consumes their whole being - I think you understand this. Ask yourself, Have I ever loved God lik...

History Today

By 'Remi 'Kunle Tejumola (KTj 2) When I was given the responsibility to carry out an historic research for a Tv programme in 2007 that will coincide with Tuesdays for presentation, I went all out for it - even though I was a Freelance Artiste. I accepted it gladly. Only for me to discover that Nigeria does not have proper records of her history on the Internet other than eg, 'This happened from this year to that year' very much unlike what you get on the History Channe l. So I got stories about happenings in different countries with specific dates. I was told that I would have to share these stories within 2-3mins live on Tv, and to me that was an impossible job - the stories are quite long. I came up with a great idea: I presented the stories as scrolls on Tv which the audience will read by themselves with a familiar instrumental music playing at the background. I produced the research in video format. You will see the caption, read the full story w...
