The Prayer of Faith #5

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! Jesus said, "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them" (Mark 11:24). This Word can be easily understood because it's not complicated at all, just simple. In attempting to act on this Word, people have asked, When I am standing in faith, how long do I have to wait for what I asked for? Good question. A lot depends on how much faith you really have in God. You see, if you have an iota of doubt, it will hinder you from receiving anything from God. Can you trust God to carry out His own end of the deal after you've done yours? Yours is to believe you receive exactly what you asked for, His is to make it happen because you believe. Now here is an aspect you must be careful about. The Bible says, "Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I ...

The Prayer of Faith #4

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Again Jesus said, "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever you desire, when ye pray, believe ye recieve them, and ye shall have them" (Mark 11:24). There has been a kind of teaching and preaching in a lot of churches, with many people loving it. It's called OPERATION P.U.S.H. meaning, Pray Untill Something Happen. It has never appealed to me. Some Bible translations added to the problem when they interpreted Matthew 7:7 as saying, "Ask and keep on asking." Jesus will never contradict Himself. The Word of God never contradicts itself. Rather you should compare scriptures with scriptures. Read here about what Jesus said about prayer, "But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking" (Matthew 6:7). The length of your prayers does not determine the answer. If you're going to ask continually it's not going to be for the same thing. Each ...

The Prayer of Faith #3

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Jesus said, "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them" (Mark 11:24). Untill this principle of operating in faith is understood, a lot of Christians will continue to make fruitless prayers. Jesus words were simple and explicit. When you ask for whatever you desired, believe you recieve it, and you shall have it. This equally mean if you didn't believe you got it, you will never have it. I found out that if you abide in Christ, and His Word abides in you, God will give you anything you ask for, and believe for - anything. The important thing is that before you ask for anything, Jesus already has provided you with the answer about how you will know your prayers are heard. He said, When you pray about your desired needs, believe that you recieve them, and you shall have them. Get this right now: it is what you believe about what you desire when you pray that will dete...

The Prayer of Faith #2

Revd 'Remi Tejumola The prayer of faith works in many areas of life; it works when we want to obtain forgiveness of sins, healings, the baptism in the Holy Spirit and getting our needs met. Which of these things is easier to get from God than the others? None! Which one is harder to get when you compare it with the others? None! The same faith that you need in order to obtain forgiveness of sins is the same that is required to have other needs met. And that, my friend, you do not need to beg God to do any or all of these things for you. All that God want you to do is TO BELIEVE THAT YOU RECEIVE EXACTLY WHAT (or the things) YOU DESIRED WHEN YOU PRAYED, and you will get it. You asked God for forgiveness, you believe you got it, and it's yours immediately. You asked for healing, you believe you recieved it, and it's yours for real. You asked to be filled with the Holy Spirit, you believe you recieved Him, and you will be filled! It works where food and clothing and many other ...

The Prayer of Faith #1

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola The principle of the Prayer of Faith is one that many Christians have not taken enough time to study and understand. For this reason, they have not had good results with their prayer lives, especially where their needs are concerned. If you are in this category, please pay close attention to this teaching now. Jesus said, "For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them" (Mark 11:23-24). [Verse 23 teaches about Confession of Faith, and verse 24 explains how the Prayer of Faith works.] In the Confession of Faith, you say something that you desired to happen, you say it the way you want it, you believe it in your heart th...

The Bible Effect #7

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola The Bible records, "And, behold, one came and said unto him [Jesus], Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?" (Matthew 19:16). As ministers of the Gospel we need to minister with the consciousness that our audience consist of people with a lot of questions that needed answers. I have found out that when we minister the Word the way God said and meant it, we answer those questions. People become liberated when their questions are answered. Sometimes people get healed. Some of the lessons we learnt from Jesus came about because of the questions that people asked Him. Would it not be a wonderful thing, getting to church with a burning question in your heart, and while the ministry of the Word was going on, suddenly the pastor said something that answered the question? It is as good and as powerful as when a miracle takes place, at least to the person concerned. I recieved a designer greeting card from a sister several y...

The Bible Effect #6

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola The Bible says, "How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost , according to his own will?" (Hebrews 2:3-4). God confirms and bears witness to His Word (the Gospel). The supernatural must be seen both in the church and out there in the evangelistic field. In some churches the supernatural only happen in the pastor's office. A number of years ago, a minister was going to minister to someone in private. God told him, "I want My ministry done in the open. I want the people to see My power." I know from experience how it feels when people get baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues publicly in church. It is awe-inspiring. It affects people who witnessed it positively and powerfully...
