The Prophet's Offering (Part One)

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola 23/09/2012 18:31pm I feel that when we want to correct error we should bring the truth of God's Word on the subject at hand, and not just say 'It is an error.' There are salient truths that I believe should be presented first before declaring an error, or at the least if we are going to present the errors, we should also correct them with the truth. I think we should be very careful so as not to cause more trouble for the body of Christ. As it is, we already have enough trouble. You can't use error to correct error. It's not done. Please go through all of the following Bible passages and make up your own mind about the subject. 1 Samuel 9:3-20 3 And the asses of Kish Saul's father were lost. And Kish said to Saul his son, Take now one of the servants with thee, and arise, go seek the asses. 4 And he passed through mount Ephraim, and passed through the land of Shalisha, but they found them not: then they passed through the ...

Faith Practice

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Hebrews 10:36 36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. There are 3 key words in the verse above and they are 'patience', 'the will of God' and 'promise'. How are they related? The last one is also the real thing in the whole passage - the promise. The promise is given by God, and in this promise is the will of God - how to bring the promise to pass in our situation. The fulfillment of the will of God is hinged on your patience that will enable the promise to be fulfilled. The greatest thing about any promise is the one who gave it. You cannot and should not totally believe human beings, but you must believe God because He is faithful to all of His promises. He has never disappoint anyone - not even once. So what are we to do - seeing that we have many needs, things that we want to have? (Am glad you asked.) Jesus said in Mark 11:24 that, "What...

Holy Ghost with a Mission

by Revd 'Remi Tejumola Acts 2:1-4 (ESV) 1 When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. 2 And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. 3 And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. Over 18 years ago, I attended a wedding at the Sword of the Spirit Ministries Headquarters, Christ Life Church, Olaogun, off Old Ife road in Ibadan. As the service progressed, the time came for the minister to preach the Word for the event, he quoted the Scriptures for the message he was to deliver, and as he did so, Acts 2:1-4 came to me. I saw what actually happened in this biblical account, most especially the 2nd and 4th verses. I saw the Holy Ghost in giant form, with mighty power and glory left heaven and came that same way to th...

Jesus Christ's Identification #2

by Revd 'Remi Tejumola Mark 6:53-56 53 And when they had passed over, they came into the land of Gennesaret, and drew to the shore. 54 And when they were come out of the ship, straightway they knew him, 55 And ran through that whole region round about, and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was. 56 And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole. I found this passage strikingly interesting. In fact, my imagination ran wild when I realized what really happened here. Jesus' picture here is very clear, even though it was just an aspect of His life and ministry, and this also is a revelation of the will of God - what He is ready to do for all people who are in need. Jesus got into Gennesaret with all of His disciples. The moment they recognized Him, they...

Jesus Christ's Identification #1

Jesus Christ's Identification #1 By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Mark 6:53-56 53 And when they had passed over, they came into the land of Gennesaret, and drew to the shore. All the people from the villages, cities, and country in our text were all looking for miracles and they knew that was what Jesus had to give, and He had plenty of 'em! When these people thought of Jesus, all they could imagine of Him was SOLUTION to all their needs. The Cross Before Jesus came along in life, people had myriad of problems and have had to live with them...

Communion of the Holy Ghost #2

by Revd 'Remi Tejumola For many years, a lot of Christians have prayed and have desired that God would grant them fellowship with the Holy Ghost, and it has seemed as if their prayers have gone unanswered. This is what the Bible says, "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" (Hebrews 11:6). I want to suggest that you go over this verse of the Bible as many times as possible. The understanding you will receive will open up a lot of things in your relationship with the Almighty God. When you want to approach the Holy Ghost for fellowship, the approach of faith matters very much. You must approach Him the way Hebrews 11:6 instructs - by faith. You must be certain that He is there and that He will respond to your invitation. That is faith. You shouldn't be expecting a physical sensation to confirm His Presence. Go by the Word, He is there with you. L...

Communion of the Holy Ghost #1

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola The Apostle Paul, in his epistle to the church at Corinth, prayed, "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen" (2 Corinthians 13:14). This prayer contained a couple of important truths we need to take note of: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the communion of the the Holy Ghost. Right now, I just want to dwell on the COMMUNION OF THE HOLY GHOST. Every child of God has the God-given privilege of having presently in their lives the presence and person of the Holy Ghost (or Spirit). He got in there when the believer received Jesus Christ into his life as Saviour and Lord. According to the plan and purpose of the Almighty God the Father, He has been in that life since the moment he accepted Jesus. Having Him in you is one thing, but having fellowship with the One who is in you is another thing entirely. It is a great thing to have Him in you and...
