God said that He found and anointed him. To me, this meant that when God was looking for someone He found David. David was not God's first choice when He chose Saul to be king. No, Saul was His first choice. Of cause when Saul was consecrated king, David was still probably a baby. David was a replacement king of Israel and a man with the right kind of attitude. Even at that, He was chosen by God and God found Him to be the kind of man He liked. I want you to understand that anyone else could also have been 'a man after God's heart'. However when God finds a person, He depends on that person to carry out His will and purpose.
