Dynamic Scriptures 6

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! "I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him" (Psalm 89:20). This was God talking about King David of Israel, the great Psalmist. God said that He found and anointed him. To me, this meant that when God was looking for someone He found David. David was not God's first choice when He chose Saul to be king. No, Saul was His first choice. Of cause when Saul was consecrated king, David was still probably a baby. David was a replacement king of Israel and a man with the right kind of attitude. Even at that, He was chosen by God and God found Him to be the kind of man He liked. I want you to understand that anyone else could also have been 'a man after God's heart'. However when God finds a person, He depends on that person to carry out His will and purpose. After one man studied the Bible through from Genesis to Revelation, he concluded that God must have been partial to have used a few men throughout the

Dynamic Scriptures 5

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! It was a very amazing thing for me when I realised the different ways God went about creation on earth here. Man was not made out of nothingness. God could have done it that way, but He chose another method. He made man using the dust of the earth to do it: Genesis 2: 7 7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul . Really if you call a man or woman, Dusty, it won't be far-fetched at all in the light of the scriptures. We were made from the dust of the earth. God's creative ability surpasses all we can fathom or imagine. We need to realise that our God can do anything and we have proof of this in the Bible accounts from Genesis through to Revelation. One time in the 90s, I was the guest minister of the St. Marks Anglican Church, at their open air crusade. A boy who had previously mistakenly shot his own hand with his father's gun, had the muscles a

Dynamic Scriptures 4

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! "And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof" (Genesis 2:19). Did you see that? Or like Chief Zebrudaya of the Masquarade fame would say, 'Are you see what I am saw?' There was a depth of intimacy and trust that existed between God and Adam to the point that God brought the newly created animals to him to name. Adam gave all the animals and every other living creatures their names. Isn't this wonderful! It wasn't God Who gave all living creatures their names. He left that job to Adam. The next time you see a dog, cockroach, an eagle, fish, a cat, an elephant or any other creature at all, remember that it was a man like you that gave that creature its name. This is the kind of intimacy God desires to have with us His dear children. He is ye

Dynamic Scriptures 3

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! God reveals Himself to those that worship Him in many kinds of ways. I've seen one of these outstanding ways in the Bible. People do experience such things as this and it's great: Exodus 24: 9-11 9 Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel: 10 And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness. 11 And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink. God revealed Himself to all the leaders of His people here, Moses, Aaron, Nadab, etc. What a great sight it must have been, and what an experience. As you respond to the Word of God in Psalm 50: 23, you can experience what we know in Christian circles as God's visitation as we've read above in the book of Exodus. This experience is not exclusive to anyone. Jesus puts it this way, "I

Dynamic Scriptures 2

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! God said that whosoever praise Him, glorify Him, and whosoever order his conservation aright will see the salvation of God (Psalm 50: 23). The word conversation here means manner of life - not an exchange of words or discussion. Praise and worship is one way to express our love to God. Our manner of life is another way to do it, and we're supposed to have both in place in our lives. How can we order our lives aright? (By leading our lives according to the Word of God). Jesus puts it this way, "If ye love me, keep my commandments" (John 14:15). Find out what His Word requires of you and do it, Psalm 91: 14-16 14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. 15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. Some of the rewards of lovin

Dynamic Scriptures 1

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! There are some verses in the Bible that I called Dynamic Scriptures in that when you read them, if you really love and reverence God, will minister to your heart. I have decided to share some of them in the series of postings from today. May they do to you what they have done to me and more in Jesus name. Amen! Psalm 50: 23 23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God. This is God speaking His mind and His will to us in His Word. The first thing in a Christian's life is that he should be in fellowship with God. Our main way of fellowship with Him is to praise and worship Him. And here God says that when we do this we glorify Him. This also mean that when we praise and worship God, we touch His heart. How does He respond to praise and worship that touches His heart? The Bible says, "But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel" (Psalm 22:3).

Faith and Wisdom 4

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! I have no intention of encouraging lazy people with these series of teachings on the subject of prayer and faith simply because the Bible says that if you will not work, you should not eat. Who are those qualified to have their needs met? Lazy people? No! Unemployed, and looking for one? Yes! Unemployed and not looking for work? No! Those whose disability prevents them from getting employment? Of course, yes. Students (in school, really studying?) Yes! Those who have jobs and are faithful at it? Yes. Retired folks? Of course, yes. Those on admission in hospitals? Yes. Those living below God's standard of holiness and righteousness - living in sin? Definitely NO! Those who lost their work because of downsizing, victimisation at the workplace or because of illness. Yes! Homemakers and children are also qualified to have their needs met. Good housemaids and houseboys are qualified to have their needs met. As long as a person is a child of God, who is

Faith and Wisdom 3

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! When it comes to receiving your healing the wisdom involved is to believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that you received your healing. The same wisdom is involved when praying for something spiritual or material, eg, money, clothes, watches, shoes, food and other things you want. What you believe with your heart is what you say with your mouth untill what you believe you receive manifest. When people who knows you and what you lacked before you prayed ask you about it, what you say now must be different from what you used to say. (Thank you, the Lord has met my need.) At this point, some would think you've gone coo coo crazy. But never mind, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. When they see the result of your faith, their comments about you will change. Those who thought you can't make it will have a different thought when you do make it. The walk of faith is a personal walk untill you include another person in a prayer of

Faith and Wisdom 2

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! A number of years ago I attempted to act on Mark 11: 24, but did it without realising that I wasn't taking the proper process for the things I required from God. I actually did exactly what the Word of God says I should do and it didn't work! See again what Jesus said: Mark 11: 24 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. I had what I desired and I prayed according to this Word and didn't get it because what I asked for required a process. I wanted to go to Rhema Bible Training Centre and I used my imagination to settle everything. I believed that they'll supernaturally come up with my name over there, another person will buy the flying ticket for me to use in travelling to the USA. What was the problem or the problems? I didn't acquire any international passport, visa and other required documents, even the admission letter to the school (I didn&#

Faith and Wisdom 1

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! God is not against us using medical means to take care of our bodies when we are sick. Please get all the help you can through that means. But there comes a time when if you have not learnt how to pray and get God to meet your need or heal you of what medicine may call incurable, you will be in soup then. I know that God still heal today. So you better start learning about it now before sickness and disease strikes. It will be foolishness on your part if you ignore this. There comes a time when being a Billionaire will not count because money sometime fails. Money can provide you with a lot of necessities in life, but not peace or sleep. You may be able to buy the most expensive 'comfortable bed' in the world and not even blink while you're on it trying to sleep! The cost of the bed could be £200.000 and you won't sleep a wink! WISDOM advices you to start doing something about how to have your life preserved through the available powe

Faith Scope

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! "... the doctrine of ... the foundation ... of faith toward God," (Hebrews 6:1). Notice that today's emphasis and focus is on faith towards God. Every faith the Bible speaks about is in relation to God. When the Bible says that God has dealt to every man the measure of faith, have you ever wondered how? (Romans 12: 3). First, understand that every man in the above verse is talking about every Christian and not just every and not all human beings. Faith is a product of God's Word preached (Romans 10: 17). When the Gospel is preached, that's when God dealt the measure of faith to everyone that heard it. This is the faith that connects us to God - faith in the Son of God, Jesus Christ (John 3: 16). 1. This faith gave us eternal life when we got born-again and we became God's children. 2. This faith gave us the platform to lead a holy life. 3. This faith gave us a hedge over the devil and his evil spirits. 4. This faith became t

Faith Foundation

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! Faith is one of the fundamental doctrines of Christ - the basic rules for Christians, the starting point really. The Apostle Paul puts it this way: Hebrews 6: 1-2 1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, 2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. There are 6 foundational doctrines listed there. In a lot of churches today, the people are ignorant of these things so much so when you begin to treat these essentials, it would sound to their hearing as if you've asked them to chew what they termed THE BONE OF THE WORD. In reality, there's nothing like that. What we have are these: 1. The milk of the Word, "As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious

The Faith Stand

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! Taking a faith stand is a lot more than just spouting words into the air. The Apostle Paul puts it this way, "We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak" (2 Corinthians 4:13). The basis for what we say and speak must be our faith. We confess what we believe. You may have a heart full of faith, but you will release that faith only when you confess it or say it. Say what you believe you have recieved when you prayed untill the reality of it dawns on you - when you get to see it. This was the way Jesus spoke to the fig tree. He believed that what He was going to say will definitely come to pass and it did. Mark 11: 14, 20-22 14 And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it. 20 And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. 21 And Peter calling to

The Anointing of God 3

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Peace be with you. Hope all is well with you and all yours. Numbers 11:17, 25 17 And I will come down and talk with thee there: and I will take of the spirit which is upon thee, and will put it upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with thee, that thou bear it not thyself alone. 25 And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease. In our text today, God shared the anointing on Moses with 70 elders of Israel so that they could adequately support him in ministry. Receiving the anointing is not a picnic. It is a great responsibility for anyone who receive it. For years Elisha observed his master Elijah. He learnt what it meant to be a prophet of God, the sacrifices involved and also the blessings from God. With a great sense of responsibility he appreciate it, but w

The Anointing of God 2

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! "And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me" (2 Kings 2:9). I have experienced divine impartations thru several men of God over the years since I got born again. These impartations have added to me. A number of times these men were led of God to lay hands over younger ministers present. I went to a few of them and asked them to pray for me. It was glorious. I have had dreams in which great men of God came to lay hands on me and by the time I woke up, felt the power of God all over me. In 1986, when I read the book titled, Understanding The Anointing , by Revd Kenneth E. Hagin, the anointing of God increased upon my life. As you stay around anointed people and their materials (books, audio and video), what you have will increase tremendously. Mine has. If you are humble

The Anointing of God 1

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! I want you to know today that there's something like 'more anointing' that one can get to serve God. I learnt from experience that the more anointing you have, the more results you will have in ministry. In fact, the more the anointing, the easier it is to do the work of God and to minister. I learnt from Elisha that one can ask God for more anointing and get it; and that there was no scripture that Elisha stood on to get more anointing. He just followed his heart's desire, expressed it and got it! "And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me" (2 Kings 2:9). What mattered to Elisha was the anointing and he got as much as he wanted. I want you to understand that no man has ever had the anointing of the Holy Spirit in its fulness. But there has been people

Faith and the Will of God

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! Where exactly in the prayer of faith can we find the will of God? The will of God means what GOD expects, requires and demands, to be done by you. Paul said in his epistle to the Hebrew Christians, "... ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise" (Hebrews 10:36). It is after you've done the will of God that YOU will experience the fulfillment of the promise. The will of God for you when using Mark 11: 24 is that part where Jesus said, "... when ye pray, believe that you recieve them ..." . Once you miss this part, you would have wasted your time and prayer. The will of God in this verse deals with, 1. The time of your prayer WHEN YOU PRAY, and, 2. What you believe when YOU PRAY. The other important thing about your prayer life that goes with the matter of the will of God has to do with your life. You must be a person of godly character. You must fear God and treat other peo

Your Faith and God

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! I want you to see the true picture of the prayer of faith today. I will carefully do it so that you won't be confused. This is exciting. God gave us that promise in Mark 11: 24, and with this promise you can get anything from Him - ANYTHING. God has given an open check and has endorsed it with His signature. You can write whatever you want in that check and get it. He is the One who made the promise and He is the One providing whatever we believe for. Let's see that precious verse again: Mark 11: 24 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Whatever you desire and believe you recieve WHEN YOU PRAY IS WHAT GOD WILL GIVE YOU - WHATEVER! If when YOU PRAY you believe you recieve nothing, that's exactly what you will get. But if you believe that you recieve exactly what you prayed for, that's what you will get. We get things from God by our faith. Faith in

The Sure Word of Faith

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! Many Christians have never attempted to use their faith to get things from God and their experience has been like James described in his epistle, "... ye have not, because ye ask not" (James 4:2). In many cases, to be candid, many prayers have been made, but they were not made with faith. So no result has been seen. It's just as if they have never prayed. Have you ever attempted to pray in faith for anything or have you been held back by fear that it may not work for you? Let me inform you, Satan does not want you to do it - so you have an artificial fear. It's not real because you actually believe God's Word. What you now need to do is take a bold attempt to see God's Word work for you. Now DO IT! Act on Mark 11: 24 for the things you desire now and watch God deliver them to you. If you don't attempt it, no spiritual development will do IT FOR YOU. Remember again Peter's story: Matthew 14: 25-28 25 And in the fourth

Faith & Patience

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! Focussing on the subject of faith could save lives. I know people need to know and understand the subject as much as possible. Let's look over a few Bible passages: Habakuk 2: 4 4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith. The just or the righteous one shall live by faith. This is talking about you as a Christian. You can only live by faith - faith in the Word of God. A question is asked, 'How long do I have to wait when I am standing in faith for something?' The answer is, AS LONG AS NECESSARY. Just make sure you're doing what God told you to do in His Word. But don't be waiting, thinking, WHEN WILL GOD DO THIS THING, IT'S TAKING TOO LONG A TIME!' If you're thinking this way you have negated your faith because you're supposed to have believed you recieved what you asked for when you prayed. If you are standing in faith, you will not be in haste. Check out the la

Faith's Place

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! God's face always shine with pleasure when He finds people who took Him at His Word - those who live by faith. Hebrews 11: 5-6 5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. God is always excited when His people exercises faith in Him by taking Him at His Word. During Jesus earthly ministry, He displayed His joy each time He found such people: Luke 7: 7-9 7 Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed. 8 For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.

Faith Attitude

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! There is a kind of attitude that will be evident when someone is taking a faith stand. The whole of the first chapter of the first book of Samuel was about Prophet Samuel's would be parents, most especially, Hannah. Hannah was barren for several years. As if that was not enough, the second wife had kids and was tormenting her untill she went to Shiloh and prayed about her situation. Notice her attitude after praying: 1 Samuel 1: 17-18 17 Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him. 18 And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad. Anytime you really prayed in faith your attitude and countenance will change. Whatever you suspended due to the sorrow about your circumstance, you will start doing again because now you believe that God has wiped off your tears. It was Hannah's attitude that g

Faith Blocker 001

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! I want to elaborate on the #1 point from last posting, UNFORGIVENESS. God does not want us to hold grudges against people who have wronged us. No He doesn't. That's why He connects it to prayer. If you do not forgive offenders, it will hinder your prayers. Forgiveness or unforgiveness affects our prayers whichever one we chose do, Jesus has shown us the consequence when we chose not to forgive. Our own sins will not be forgiven, and works negatively against our prayers: "And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses" (Mark 11:25-26). This may be a bitter pill to swallow, but this is the way of the kingdom. The Apostle Paul puts it this way: Romans 12: 19-20 19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is writte

Time Element in Faith

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! There is an element of time involved in the principle of faith. Misunderstanding this important element will cause a failure of faith. The Bible says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1). When should one take the step of faith? (Now!) Paul said, "Now faith is . . . the evidence of things not seen". When you are standing by faith, what you're believing God for is neither seen nor felt. You're just standing in faith for it - calling those things which be not as though they were. If you've asked God for a car, by faith you say, 'I believe that I have my car now.' This is neither pretence nor a lie. You really must believe this way. You don't have to see it first or feel it before you believe it. In fact, we do not need to look for any sign or hear a voice to know our prayers are heard. Once we pray, God wants us to believe that the need is met NOW WHE

Faith Blockers

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! As great as faith is it can be short circuited by a number of things in the life of the one who wants to exercise it. The #1 faith blocker is UNFORGIVENESS. The #2 is a twin, doubt and unbelief. The #3 is sin that brings condemnation in the heart (1 John 3: 21). Jesus told us what to do with the first one: Mark 11: 25-26 25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. The #2 ones are dealt with once you know what the Word of God says in that area of your doubt and unbelief. You can choose to believe. The #3 one, SIN, also have its solution: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Once your sin is forgiven, that's it. Have no more sense of condemnation. Also,

Faith Application

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! Today's lesson will be very informative. So give it pure attention. Jesus said, "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them" (Mark 11:24). Anytime you go through the Word of God always pay close attention to it - meditate on it so that you can get the import of whatever God is saying from it. Using Mark 11: 24 to pray, you say, 'Lord as your child, I desire to be filled with the Holy Spirit. I ask for it now, and I believe that I recieve the infilling right now and I thank you for it'. Then begin to praise Him because you believe you have recieved. Once you really believe this, SUDDENLY IT WILL HAPPEN. This is how you need to pray to get your needs met and to also have things you really desire from God. Notice this promise covers WHAT THINGS SO EVER you desire, meaning: there's no limit to what you can ask for. It works for healing, exercising you

Nigeria is 49

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola "Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people" (Proverbs 14:34). Shalom! We mark our 49th year of Independence today in Nigeria. We have passed through so many murky waters in all these years and we have God to thank for the continual existence of our Nation Nigeria. We are of age now and not a baby nation. I pray the real wisdom that goes with age will now come to play in our nation in the name of Jesus; that the righteousness of God will now be entrenched in our sit of power at every level; that we will now begin to see real progress and development in every area of human endeavor of Nigeria; that all our leaders will use their offices well to take us to a safe haven where peace is known and God is glorified in our country NIGERIA. God bless the Federal Republic of NIGERIA! Amen.
