Marks of a Committed Christian #1

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! Committed Christian have traits or marks. It's something beyond going regularly to church. A few weeks back I treated a subject about God's will, and then went further to teach about the Process of Divine Change. The teaching today is a follow-up to those. So come along with me. The Apostle Paul in Romans 12:1 said, "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service." The life of a committed Christian is strewn with periods of deeper commitments. The very first commitment comes as a revelation of Christ our saviour comes to him. So he commits himself to that One who died and rose again for his sake. Because of this revelation, he relates with people whom he perceived has had the same experience with Jesus with real agape love. He's so happy to have been saved from so great a death that he will do anything for Jesus.

The Process of Divine Change #3

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! The story of a believer's life will begin to change, on a positive and powerful note, when he develops what I call SUPERNATURAL HABITS. The habits includes, regular reading, studying and meditating the Word of God from the Bible and reading books written by men and women of God. Listening to anointed teaching of the Word on cds and dvds, regularly spending time to worship God and enjoying fellowship with Him. In addition to these things, live a supernatural life of obeying whatever God tells you. Spend time also, building up yourself praying in tongues. God has many servants whom He gave different messages to teach the body of Christ so that we can learn from them things pertaining to the principles that the kingdom of God is guided by. Getting their books, audio tapes/cds and videos, and attending their meetings when possible, are the ways through which we learn the things God wants us to know and live by. Neglecting these things is like a studen

The Process of Divine Change #2

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! Let's take a look at several key words from our two main texts: Matthew 6:33 and Romans 12:1-2, ' righteousness ', 'transformation' and 'renewal'. In my last posting from the Amplified Bible, the Word 'righteousness' meant 'its way of doing' which means the principles by which the kingdom of God is ran. This shows there are certain ways the kingdom of God operates. Jesus taught us to seek two things, the kingdom and the way things work. These two things are supposed to be our first priority. Seeking the kingdom is as important as seeking to know how things work there. One of the requirements for becoming a US citizen is for the immigrant to get familiar with the constitution of that country. They don't want you running foul of their laws. In the kingdom of God, as a citizen, it is required that you go through a process of transformation by the renewal of your mind before you can ascertain and prove what

The Process of Divine Change #1

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! For things to work out the way they should and the way that God desires, we need to develop a couple of supernatural habits. Jesus said in Matthew 6:33, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." What 'things' was He talking about? The food, the drink, and the clothes that we need, plus other things besides (read from verse 25-34). But how do we get God to provide these 'things' for us? Jesus said we are to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. This Word righteousness is interpreted by the Amplified Bible as His way of doing things. Which when it's defined means 'The modus operandi of the kingdom' which in other words means, 'The principles upon which the kingdom of God operates. Accepting Jesus as Lord is great. But you need to also seek to know how He does things, and how and where you can get into it in order for you to start e

A Soldier Gone To Headquaters

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! A senior friend just went home to be with the Lord, PASTOR PATRICK EZEKUDE OBAZE. He was aged 78 years old. I got to know him in 1985 after I became a part of the Faith Clinic which was founded by Rev. (Dr.) I.K.U. Ibeneme of blessed memory. Uncle 'Bobo' Obaze, as was fondly called by Dr. Ibeneme, was one of the numerous workers that the Faith Clinic had in those days in the mid-80s. All the workers came from different churches and ministries, and were of various ages and giftings. In spite of his age, He was simple and humble. He was easy to get along with, and very kind. He loved Jesus and was as excited about Him as anyone of us was who were much younger than he was. Like other workers of the ministry he was involved in deliverance ministrations. He often traveled with Dr. Ibeneme for outside ministrations. He also had a special love to minister the Holy Ghost baptism. He had great success in this area of ministry. I know it because I was a

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola In the Old Testament days, every commandment, every law and statutes are clear expressions of God's will - the things He wanted them to do, and the way He wanted them to live with one another, and how He wanted them to approach Him and serve in His presence so that they would not court His divine judgement but His blessings. Every one of the expression of the will of God reveals the kind of person He is. You get to understand this from how He revealed Himself to Moses: Exodus 33: 18-20 18 And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory. 19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy. Exodus 34:5-7 5 And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. 6 And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious,

God's Will 606 #5

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread" (Matthew 6:10-11). Question: Why would we need to pray that the will of God be done in earth as it's done in heaven? Answer: Most people here are not concerned about the will of God at all. A lot of people, including many believers, are only interested in what they want. For this reason we are not seeing the blessings of God on our lives as much as God desires that we should have them. Jesus also taught us to pray for daily provision of bread. If bread or food is readily and regularly available we would not need to pray for it. Also, God is willing to provide us with the things He's asked us to pray for. One important truth is that if we don't ask for these things, we will have to do without them. But if we really need them, we'd better start praying for them. Why do we need to seek God's face? To find and discover His will for our

God's Will 606 #4

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Shalom! Part of what we know as The Lord's Prayer reads, "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10). By this Jesus taught us about doing the will of God while we are here on earth. Jesus said about Himself, "For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me" (John 6:38). The mission of Jesus coming to the earth was to do the will of God. He didn't come for a picnic. No, He didn't. He had a lot more higher purpose in sight than self-gratification. The last prayer He prayed was one of total dedication to do the will of the Father: Matthew 26: 39 39 ... O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. Have you ever thought of the reason for your being? It is to do the will of God here on earth. (I will discuss this in a later post). The will of God today is that everyone will believe the Gospel about J

God's Will 606 #3

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola In the Word of God there are certain scriptures that gives clear expressions of the will of God that is not negotiable. The will of God in such dimension has only one condition or the believer will reap terrible consequences. The Bible says, "For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;" (1 Thessalonians 4:3-4). The will of God is clearly spelt out in this passage. It is non-negotiable. Let's look at another one: "For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise" (Hebrews 10: 36). There are two important aspects about the prayer of faith here. Once you've done the will of God, you will have to introduce patience into your faith stand. What is the will of God in prayer? According to Jesus, the will of God we are to carry out in prayer is for
