So many people believed that John the Baptist did not have a supernatural ministry. So they used him as an example of a minister whose ministry did not have accompany signs and wonders like that of Jesus. How wrong they are. First, the conception of John was supernatural. Prayer brought him. The Bible records, "But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John" (Luke 1:13). Secondly, just as the angel said, he was filled with the Holy Spirit from his mother's womb (Jesus wasn't): The Angel said, "... he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb" (Luke 1:15).
