By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Becoming friends with God must be a goal-oriented desire, something which we must work at to achieve. If not it will be just a pipe-dream, and it doesn't have to be that way. To become His friend, it must be desired by each individual child of God. And it is possible for all to become His friends. The word 'desire' means 'a strong wish to do something or have something', not a wishy-washing kind of thing. A real heart desire will not be satisfied with a 'No' for an answer to its pursuit. The truth is that God made it quite clear about the kind of attitude that is required from would be friends. He said, "And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart" (Jeremiah 29:13). Your whole heart must be involved in establishing this kind of relationship with God.
