Faith Practice

By Revd 'Remi Tejumola Hebrews 10:36 36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. There are 3 key words in the verse above and they are 'patience', 'the will of God' and 'promise'. How are they related? The last one is also the real thing in the whole passage - the promise. The promise is given by God, and in this promise is the will of God - how to bring the promise to pass in our situation. The fulfillment of the will of God is hinged on your patience that will enable the promise to be fulfilled. The greatest thing about any promise is the one who gave it. You cannot and should not totally believe human beings, but you must believe God because He is faithful to all of His promises. He has never disappoint anyone - not even once. Holy Ghost with a Mission

by Revd 'Remi Tejumola Acts 2:1-4 (ESV) 1 When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. 2 And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. 3 And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. Over 18 years ago, I attended a wedding at the Sword of the Spirit Ministries Headquarters, Christ Life Church, Olaogun, off Old Ife road in Ibadan. As the service progressed, the time came for the minister to preach the Word for the event, he quoted the Scriptures for the message he was to deliver, and as he did so, Acts 2:1-4 came to me.
